Le légendaire crew de graffeurs new-yorkais des 90’s, IRAK, dévoile une nouvelle collaboration avec le géant allemand ADIDAS. Après une audacieuse ZX 8000 sortie au mois de septembre 2020, les créatifs américains apportent leur touche spéciale à la silhouette de la Supernova Cushion 7.
Le collectif IRAK continue affirmer son identité colorée, jouant parfois avec les imprimés et les textures, à travers ses collaborations avec ADIDAS.
Cette Supernova Cushion 7 exclusive se présente dans une palette de couleurs « Core Black/Cloud White/Vivid Green ».
Dans une démarche écologique et de réduction d’impact environnemental, la sneaker est fabriquée en partie avec du contenu recyclé généré à partir de déchets de production, comme des chutes de coupe et des déchets ménagers post-consommation. Plus précisément, 25% des composants utilisés pour fabriquer la tige sont conçus avec un minimum de 50% de contenu recyclé.
Cette version collaborative se compose d’un upper associant du mesh blanc et des superpositions en textile rembourré noir. Cet effet bicolore blanc/noir se poursuit au niveau des 3 Stripes latérales et avec la languette noire/lacets blancs. Une belle touche d’audace est apportée par une doublure intérieure orange vif et des accents verts sur la partie arrière de la midsole et le nom du modèle ‘Supernova’ sous la cheville. Le branding IRAK est apposé en jaune sur le mudguard latéral, et la languette se pare d’un tag de languette blanc/noir, rectangulaire, horizontal et comportant le logo Mountain d’adidas et le nom ‘Supernova’. La paire bénéficie d’une semelle intérieure noire recouverte de multiples brandings IRAK oranges. Pour finaliser le look, l’ensemble repose sur une midsole bicolore blanche/noire qui suit le design de l’empeigne et sur une outsole en gomme.
La IRAK x adidas Originals Supernova Cushion 7 est sortie le 28 janvier 2023 aux Etats-Unis sur iraknyc.com, chez les détaillants sélectionnés comme Sneaker Politics, ainsi que sur le site de la marque sportswear, adidas.com. Le prix est fixé à $160 (147€) et pointures allant du US 4 au US 14.

In an effort to be eco-friendly and reduce environmental impact, the sneaker is made in part with recycled content generated from production waste, such as cuttings and post-consumer household waste. Specifically, 25% of the components used to make the upper are designed with a minimum of 50% recycled content.
This collaborative version consists of an upper combining white mesh and black padded textile overlays. This two-tone white/black effect continues at the 3 side stripes and with the black tongue/white laces. A nice touch of boldness is provided by a bright orange inner lining and green accents on the back of the midsole and the model name ‘Supernova’ under the ankle. The IRAK branding is emblazoned in yellow on the side mudguard and the tongue is adorned with a white/black, rectangular, horizontal tongue tag featuring the adidas Mountain logo and the name ‘Supernova’. The pair benefits from a black insole covered in multiple orange IRAK brandings. To finalize the look, the whole is based on a two-tone white/black midsole that follows the design of the upper and a gum outsole.
