To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the iconic Air Jordan V, Jordan Brand offered us the return of some OG colorways and a collaborations with renowned designer Virgil Abloh. In order to continue celebrating this anniversary, the American label has combined a maximum of colorways to highlight this iconic shoe. A special Air Jordan V « What The » iteration is unveiled today.
The shoes come in different colors, the one on the right with a mainly yellow upper, and red for the left sneaker. Each shoe features details from the AJ5 Tokyo, Shanghai, Laser, Raging Bull, Bel-Air and many others.
On the heel, we find a Japanese character « Tokyo 23 » for the yellow sneaker and a medallion embroidery from the « Shanghai » for the red sneaker. Other references to the famous colorways include a graphic « Bel-Air » and « Laser » inner lining, as well as reflective 3M tabs. The whole is based on a purple midsole and a translucent icy outsole for the right foot, and a black midsole combined with a green phosphorescent outsole for the left foot.
The AIR JORDAN V « What The » is scheduled for release on November 7, 2020, at selected retailers and on Nike.com, for a price of 220€.
