Il y a quelques semaines, je vous parlais dans un article (dispo ICI) de la nouvelle collaboration entre Overkill et Puma. Ces derniers ont décidé de travailler sur deux silhouettes : La Blaze of Glory et la Slipstream Lo. Ce nouvel opus rend hommage à une série télévisée culte des années 80 : Miami Vice (2 flics à Miami en français).
Ayant eu la chance de recevoir les deux modèles grâce à mes amis de chez OVERKILL, je vous propose aujourd’hui de découvrir la Blaze of Glory à mes pieds.
Habillé de bleu, rose et blanc, le duo de sneakers « Ocean Drive » honore les années 80 et le style particulièrement coloré de Miami Vice.
La BLAZE OF GLORY rentre dans le vif du sujet avec son upper combinant du nylon brillant, du mesh à fines rayures et du cuir lisse dans une teinte bleu pastel. Des touches de rose sur les panneaux latéraux et l’insole complètent le look. La paire se pare de détails évocateurs, tels que l’impression d’un palmier sur le talon latéral, une insole personnalisée et un tag de languette co-brandé audacieux. Un logo doré en relief sur le heel tab et la marque OVERKILL appliquée en rose sur la partie arrière blanche de la midsole confirment la collab. La midsole est majoritairement blanche mais bénéficie d’une touche speckled et d’inserts roses pour assurer le design. L’ensemble repose sur une outsole bleu pastel et noire.

Having had the chance to receive both models thanks to my friends at OVERKILL, I suggest you today to discover the Blaze of Glory on my feet.
Dressed in blue, pink and white, the duo of sneakers « Ocean Drive » honors the 80s and the particularly colorful style of Miami Vice.
The BLAZE OF GLORY gets into the thick of things with its upper combining shiny nylon, fine striped mesh and smooth leather in a pastel blue hue. Pink accents on the side panels and insole complete the look. The pair is adorned with evocative details, such as a palm tree print on the side heel, a custom insole and a bold co-branded tongue tag. An embossed gold logo on the heel tab and OVERKILL branding applied in pink on the white back of the midsole confirm the collab. The midsole is mostly white but has a speckled touch and pink inserts to ensure the design. The whole is based on a pastel blue and black outsole.
