Il y a quelques mois, Wind and Sea s’était associée à atmos, adidas et Russel Athletic afin de nous proposer une collection triple collaborative exclusive (article disponible ICI). La marque japonaise poursuit sur son élan et dévoile un nouvel opus élaboré avec son célèbre compatriote ASICS. Cette collaboration 100% japonaise est basée sur la fameuse GEL-Nimbus 9.
Takashi Kumagai, le fondateur et directeur créatif de Wind and Sea, donne un look simple et élégant à la chaussure de course de performance.
Elle apparaît déclinée en 2 coloris accrocheurs : blanc/crème/argenté et crème/bleu métallique/argenté.
La sneaker se compose d’une base en mesh respirant, complétée par des superpositions en synthétique argenté, de couleur crème ou bleu métallique selon la version. La doublure intérieure et les lacets sont présentés dans la teinte de la superposition basse, crème ou bleu métallique. La collab est subtilement affirmée par le nom « SEA » apposé sur le talon latéral, au-dessous du « GEL-Nimbus ». Quant au tag de languette, il conserve son habituel et emblématique logo asics. L’ensemble repose sur une midsole blanche ou crème bénéficiant d’unités GEL sous le talon et l’avant du pied, ainsi que sur une outsole en ton sur ton ou bleu métallique en fonction de l’itération.

It appears in 2 eye-catching colorways : white/cream/silver and cream/metallic blue/silver.
The sneaker consists of a breathable mesh base, complemented by silver synthetic overlays in cream or metallic blue depending on the version. The inner lining and laces are presented in the shade of the low overlay, cream or metallic blue. The collab is subtly affirmed by the name « SEA » affixed to the side heel, below the « GEL-Nimbus ». As for the tongue tag, it retains its usual and iconic asics logo. The whole is based on a white or cream midsole with GEL units under the heel and forefoot, as well as on a tone-on-tone or metallic blue outsole depending on the iteration.
The WIND AND SEA x ASICS GEL-Nimbus 9 duo will be released on October 22, 2022 in stores and online at windandsea.jp, as well as at select retailers worldwide like NAKED, Jogging / Starcow / Milk / The Next Door / The Broken Arm / Le Rayon Frais / Shoez Galler. Don’t sleep !
