[:fr]L’une des silhouettes les plus populaires de 2020, la Nike SB Dunk Low continuera son ascension en 2021. Après nous avoir présenté la future itération « Street Hawker » il y a quelques jours (article disponible ICI), les images d’une première collaboration entre le géant américain Nike et la marque streetwear de l’artiste Verdy WASTED YOUTH sont apparues sur les réseaux sociaux.
Inspirée des influences 80’s et Métal/Punk du designer Verdy, cette Dunk Low s’habille d’un coloris majoritairement noir avec des touches de rouge et de blanc.
Elle se compose d’un upper en denim noir façonné en patchwork. La multitude de patchs différents en ton sur ton, ainsi que les points de coutures et surpiqures apparentes sur l’ensemble du pied, apportent un look limite punk à la paire. Pour affirmer ces influences, on retrouve des empiècements en cuir souple noir, notamment au niveau du mudguard, des œillets supérieurs et sur 2 des 4 Swooshes. Le Swoosh en cuir de la chaussure gauche est enveloppé d’une rose de couleur rouge avec les feuilles blanches. Sur les côtés opposés, cet iconique élément de branding se distingue par des contours blancs brodés en zig-zag, affirmant le style Punk. Les mots Wasted et Youth de couleur blanche ornent les talons en cuir noir et un anneau métallique est ajouté sur le heel tab, ainsi qu’une broderie rouge au-dessous. Pour compléter le look, l’insole noire se pare de 2 prints « No thank you I don’t need your support » (Non merci je n’ai pas besoin de votre soutien) et « Don’t bother me anymore » (Ne me dérangez plus). Une midsole blanche combinée à une outsole noire finalisent le design.
La Wasted Youth x Nike SB Dunk Low sortira au début de l’année 2021, chez les détaillants sélectionnés et sur nike.com, pour un prix aux alentours de 100€. Plus d’infos à venir, restez connectés !
[:en]One of the most popular silhouettes of 2020, the Nike SB Dunk Low will continue its ascent in 2021. After presenting us the future « Street Hawker » iteration a few days ago (article available HERE), the images of a first collaboration between the American giant Nike and the streetwear brand of the artist Verdy WASTED YOUTH appeared on social networks.
Inspired by the 80’s and Metal/Punk influences of the designer Verdy, this Dunk Low is dressed in a predominantly black color with touches of red and white.
It’s composed of a black denim upper in patchwork. The multitude of different patches in tone-on-tone, as well as the visible stitching on the whole foot, bring a punk look to the pair. To assert these influences, we discover soft black leather inserts on the mudguard, eyelets and on 2 of the 4 Swooshes. The leather Swoosh on the left shoe is wrapped in a red rose with white leaves. On opposite sides, this iconic branding element is distinguished by white zig-zag embroidered contours, affirming the Punk style. The words Wasted and Youth in white color adorn the black leather heels and we discover the addition of a metal ring on the heel tab, as well as a red embroidery underneath. To complete the look, the black insole is adorned with 2 prints « No thank you I don’t need your support » and « Don’t bother me anymore ». A white midsole combined with a black outsole finalize the design.
The Wasted Youth x Nike SB Dunk Low will be released in early 2021 at selected retailers and on nike.com for around 100€. More info coming soon, stay tuned !
