La légendaire marque DIADORA poursuit sur son élan de collaborations originales. Quelques jours après nous avoir présenté une V7000 conçue avec L’Original et Bisso (article disponible ICI), le label italien dévoile une Mythos 280GB revisitée par SSSTUFFF.
SSSTUFFF est une jeune marque de streetwear lancée à Barcelone en 2019. Fondée par Jepi et Ho, SSSTUFFF vise à apporter de la nouveauté et égayer le monde de la consommation. Son offre s’articule autour de vêtements streetwear innovants qui procurent une expérience fonctionnelle passionnante, comme par exemple les t-shirts à changement de couleurs réactifs aux UV et la chaleur, ou le t-shirt Self Paint livré avec un marqueur pour compléter le graphisme initial.
Le thème choisi pour cette collaboration avec DIADORA est la célébration des 30 ans des Jeux Olympiques de Barcelone.
Plus précisément, cette MYTHOS 280GB spéciale rend hommage à un objet mythique de la Cérémonie d’Ouverture des Jeux : la torche.
Dans une combinaison de noir, rouge et or, la chaussure se compose d’un upper en mesh noir, réhaussé par des superpositions rouges et dorées.
SSSTUFFF a précisé : « le matériau lenticulaire imite la lueur de la torche, tandis que les détails dorés rappellent les étincelles de la flamme. La maille noire, quant à elle, représente le ciel de Barcelone la nuit et les pistes de course du stade se cachent sous le talon ».
Cette version exclusive déborde de détails ludiques. Les panneaux se parent d’une frange rouge qui peut être découpée et collée sur la carte incluse dans la box afin de créer sa propre torche. Les instructions d’assemblage sont inscrites sur l’insole droite. L’insole gauche, quant à elle, comportent un print de jeu en forme de torche qui permet de se divertir. Un branding spécial brodé sur la languette, SSSTUFFF apposé sur le talon latéral, une midsole blanche avec des accents rouges et une outsole noire finalisent le look.
SSSTUFFF a retravaillé la box afin qu’elle rappelle le pack de bienvenue offert aux participants à la Cérémonie d’Ouverture des Jeux Olympiques. En plus de la paire collaborative, on trouve à l’intérieur un masque de protection solaire, une médaille déjà croquée et un drapeau de supporter à confectionner.
Pour accompagner cette SSSTUFFF X Diadora Mythos 280GB, une collection de vêtements et d’accessoires a également été conçue. Elle comprend, entre autre, un maillot de football et un débardeur pour la course recouverts d’un imprimé graphique noir et rouge, un t-shirt blanc présentant une illustration colorée d’une ligne d’arrivée d’un marathon, ainsi qu’un ensemble de survêtement noir avec des touches de rouge.

SSSTUFFF is a young streetwear brand launched in Barcelona in 2019. Founded by Jepi and Ho, SSSTUFFF aims to bring novelty and brighten up the consumer world. Its offering is based around innovative streetwear that provides an exciting functional experience, such as the UV and heat reactive color changing t-shirts, or the Self Paint t-shirt that comes with a marker to complete the initial graphic.
The theme chosen for this collaboration with DIADORA is the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Barcelona Olympic Games.
More specifically, this special MYTHOS 280GB pays tribute to a mythical object of the Opening Ceremony of the Games : the torch.
In a combination of black, red and gold, the shoe consists of a black mesh upper, enhanced by red and gold overlays.
SSSTUFFF explained : « The lenticular material mimics the glow of the torch, while the gold details recall the sparks of the flame. The black mesh represents the Barcelona sky at night and the stadium’s racetracks hide under the heel. »
This exclusive version is full of playful details. The panels are adorned with red fringe that can be cut out and glued to the card included in the box to create your own torch. The assembly instructions are written on the right insole. The left insole features a torch-shaped game print for entertainment. Special embroidered branding on the tongue, SSSTUFFF on the side heel, a white midsole with red accents and a black outsole complete the look.
SSSTUFFF reworked the box to be reminiscent of the welcome pack offered to participants at the Opening Ceremony of the Olympic Games. In addition to the collaborative pair, inside is a sun mask, a pre-bitten medal and a fan flag to make.
To accompany this SSSTUFFF X Diadora Mythos 280GB, a collection of clothing and accessories has also been designed. It includes, among others, a soccer jersey and a running tank top covered with a black and red graphic print, a white t-shirt featuring a colorful illustration of a marathon finish line, and a black tracksuit with red accents.
The SSSTUFFF X Diadora Mythos 280GB and apparel collection will be released on September 24, 2022 on partner sites SSSTUFFF.com and diadora.com.
