Durant les premiers jours de ce mois de juin 2023, le fameux festival » Le Weekend des Curiosités » s’est tenu dans la salle de spectacles du BIKINI à Toulouse. Organisée par Bleu Citron, cette 11ème édition a été un véritable succès : le festival affichait sold out !
Le Week-end des Curiosités 2023 a réuni plus de 6000 personnes sur 3 jours, du vendredi 2 au dimanche 4 juin.
Les participants ont pu profiter de 3 jours de fête, rythmés par des concerts variés et des animations ludiques. Les artistes rap, pop, electro et aux influences multiples se sont succédés sur les 3 scènes iconiques du festival : la salle centrale et couverte du BIKINI et les 2 scènes extérieures, ‘CURIOSITES‘ et la ‘SWIMMING DEER’ disposée au-dessus de la piscine de la salle de spectacle toulousaine. A l’extérieur, des food trucks, des tables, tabourets et transats étaient installés pour que le public puisse se restaurer, discuter et passer un petit moment à chiller.
Côté programmation, on peut affirmer que tous les musiciens, chanteurs, rappeurs et dj invités à cette 11éme édition des Weekend des Curiosités ont mis le feu sur chacune des scènes du festival !
- Le vendredi à 18h30, le festival a commencé dans une ambiance joyeuse et bon enfant.
Le public était ultra chaud pour débuter ce week-end de fête avec un Dj Set, le chanteur-musicien pop aux influences orientales AGHIAD, le groupe MANDARINE, Flavien Berger ainsi que Prattseul.
A 21H30, la foule a fait une ovation pour la pépite locale : le rappeur toulousain WarEnd. Déjà bien connu et apprécié dans la ville rose, le participant à l’émission « Nouvelle Ecole » était très attendu sur la scène ‘CURIOSITES’ et a livré une prestation de grande qualité. le rappeur du 95, Favé, a pris le relais pour le plus grand plaisir du public.
En parallèle, l’artiste qui mélange pop, electro, rock alternatif et punk Aime Simone a entrainé la foule dans son univers dans la salle du BIKINI. Aussi, le collectif de Montréal MOONSHINE a joué pendant 3h sur la scène ‘SWIMMING DEER’, de 22h à 1h. Ces artistes multidisciplinaires s’inspirent des rythmes et des sonorités de nombreux pays d’Afrique, qu’ils réinterprètent selon leurs autres goûts musicaux et leur sens artistique.
Sur la scène du BIKINI, le public a été conquis par le show du groupe rap-punk Train Fantôme, puis les mix de la DJ néerlandaise Mad Miran et du DJ-producteur basé à Paris JKS jusqu’au bout de la nuit.
- La fête a recommencé samedi à partir de 18:00.
Comme la veille, le festival a été relancé avec un DJ set sur la scène ‘SWIMMING DEER’ et par le concert du bordelais AUPINARD (avec son acolyte ISMATRICULE) du côté de la scène ‘CURIOSITES’. Ce chanteur-guitariste, qui réinvente la « bossa nova », était ravi de retrouver le public toulousain qui l’avait si bien accueilli lors de son 1er passage dans la ville rose au mois de mars dernier. Aupinard a même confié avoir été bluffé par l’accueil et l’engouement des toulousains pour sa musique. C’était ensuite au tour Johnny Jane de monter sur cette scène. Cet artiste au style mixant influences du rock anglo-saxon et de la chanson française était en communion avec le public. Sa grand-mère (trop mignonne) armée de son appareil photo à immortaliser ces moments de show intenses.
Au même moment, la chanteuse Yoa performait sur la scène du BIKINI malgré une grosse fièvre, avant le chanteur-compositeur MARCEAU, suivi ensuite par le rappeur émergeant H JEUNECRACK, puis le populaire WINNTERZUKO.
A l’extérieur, Le Baccus Social Club & Friends & EG s’affairaient derrière les platines de la scène ‘SWIMMING DEER’ et le duo de musiciens, mélangeant sons retro 70’s et electro, WALTER ASTRAL enflammé la scène ‘CURIOSITES’. Pour clôturer les concerts de cette scène, le chanteur chill et stylé Rad Cartier a fait le show avec DJ Kheli en soutien.
Afin de poursuivre la soirée en beauté, de 1h à 5h, la salle BIKINI a mis en lumière l’artiste-musicien electro funk BOMEL, puis les demoiselles DJ Marina Trench et Dylan Dylan.
- Le dimanche 4 juin, gratuit pour tous, était sous le signe de la musique et des animations.
L’après-midi a commencé avec une déambulation en vélo et en musique le long des berges du canal du midi avec le groupe Radio Cargo qui a pour principe ‘Du son n’importe où , n’importe quand, avec n’importe qui’. La fête a continué sur la scène ‘SWIMMING DEER’ avec la DJ Tatie Dee de 16h00 à 18h00 avant que Radio Cargo prenne place et fasse de nouveau danser la foule, jusqu’à 21h00. Les participants pouvaient également découvrir des stands dédiés au tatouage, à l’upcycling, la mode réfléchie et à différentes formes de création artistique.
La 11ème édition du festival « Le Weekend des Curiosités » a tenu toutes ses promesses. Les artistes étaient tous talentueux et ravis d’être là. Ils avaient en face d’eux un public venu nombreux et avec un bon état d’esprit de fête, le combo parfait ! En plus, la météo était clémente.
Les Curiosités annoncent déjà leur prochain event : la célébration de la fête de la musique le 21 juin 2023. Une soirée gratuite avec 3 artistes émergeants, Mandarine (qui était là ce week-end), Tioma et S.H.A. La fête aura lieu au cour du Crédit Agricole de Toulouse, rue Ozenne. Let’s go !

The Week-end des Curiosités 2023 attracted over 6,000 people over 3 days, from Friday June 2 to Sunday June 4.
Participants enjoyed 3 days of festivities, punctuated by a variety of concerts and fun activities. Rap, pop and electro artists with multiple influences took to the stage on the festival’s 3 iconic stages : the BIKINI‘s central, covered hall and the 2 outdoor stages, ‘CURIOSITES’ and the ‘SWIMMING DEER’ set above the Toulouse venue’s swimming pool. Outside, food trucks, tables, stools and deckchairs were set up so that the public could eat, chat and spend a little time chilling out.
In terms of programming, it’s safe to say that all the musicians, singers, rappers and djs invited to this 11th edition of the Weekend des Curiosités set each of the festival’s stages alight !
- On Friday at 6.30pm, the festival got underway in a joyous, good-natured atmosphere.
The crowd was on fire to kick off the festive weekend with a Dj Set, featuring the oriental-influenced pop singer-musician AGHIAD, the group MANDARINE, Flavien Berger and Prattseul.
At 9:30 pm, the crowd gave a standing ovation to local raising star : Toulouse rapper WarEnd. Already well known and appreciated in the pink city, the « Nouvelle Ecole » contestant was eagerly awaited on the « CURIOSITES » stage, and delivered a top-quality performance. 95 rapper Favé took over, much to the delight of the audience.
Meanwhile, pop, electro, alternative rock and punk artist Aime Simone drew the crowd into her world in the BIKINI hall. Montreal collective MOONSHINE played for 3 hours on the ‘SWIMMING DEER’ stage, from 10pm to 1am. These multidisciplinary artists draw inspiration from the rhythms and sounds of many African countries, reinterpreting them according to their own musical tastes and artistic sensibilities.
On the BIKINI stage, the audience was captivated by the show put on by rap-punk group Train Fantôme, followed by mixes by Dutch DJ Mad Miran and Paris-based DJ-producer JKS until the end of the night.
- The party started up again on Saturday at 18:00.
As on the previous day, the festival kicked off with a DJ set on the ‘SWIMMING DEER’ stage and a concert by Bordeaux’s AUPINARD (with his sidekick ISMATRICULE) on the ‘CURIOSITES’ stage. This singer-guitarist, who has reinvented « bossa nova », was delighted to meet up again with the Toulouse audience who had given him such a warm welcome on his 1st visit to the Pink City last March. Aupinard even confided that he had been blown away by the welcome and the enthusiasm of the people of Toulouse for his music. Then it was Johnny Jane‘s turn on stage. This artist, with a style mixing influences from Anglo-Saxon rock and French chanson, was in communion with the audience. His grandmother (too cute) armed with her camera immortalized these intense show moments.
At the same time, singer Yoa performed on the BIKINI stage despite a high fever, before MARCEAU, followed by emerging rapper H JEUNECRACK, then the popular WINNTERZUKO.
Outside, Le Baccus Social Club & EG were busy behind the turntables on the ‘SWIMMING DEER’ stage, and the retro 70’s/electro duo WALTER ASTRAL set the ‘CURIOSITES’ stage alight. To round off the concerts on this stage, chill and stylish singer Rad Cartier put on a show with DJ Kheli in support.
To continue the evening in style, from 1 a.m. to 5 a.m., the BIKINI room featured electro funk artist-musician BOMEL, followed by DJ Marina Trench and Dylan Dylan.
- Sunday June 4, free for all, was all about music and entertainment.
The afternoon began with a musical bike ride along the banks of the Canal du Midi with the group Radio Cargo, whose motto is ‘Sound anywhere, anytime, with anyone’. The party continued on the ‘SWIMMING DEER’ stage with DJ Tatie Dee from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm, before Radio Cargo took to the stage and got the crowd dancing again, until 9:00 pm. Attendees could also discover stands dedicated to tattooing, upcycling, thoughtful fashion and various forms of artistic creation.
The 11th edition of the « Le Weekend des Curiosités » festival lived up to all its promises. The artists were all talented and delighted to be there, and they were joined by a large audience in a festive mood – the perfect combo ! What’s more, the weather was kind.
« Les Curiosités » are already announcing their next event : the ‘Fête de la Musique’ celebration on June 21, 2023. A free evening with 3 emerging artists, Mandarine (who was there this weekend), Tioma and S.H.A. The party will take place in the courtyard of Crédit Agricole de Toulouse, rue Ozenne. Let’s go !
