Au cours des dernières semaines, l’emblématique BAPE STA est revenue sur le devant de la scène sneaker à travers des collaborations attractives. Après avoir été revisité par MARVEL ou encore USPS, le modèle iconique de la marque streetwear japonaise apparaît retravaillé par OVO, le label lifestyle du rappeur DRAKE.
Ces derniers temps, l’artiste mondialement connu avait plutôt délaissé sa marque OVO afin de se consacrer à la création de son sous-label chez Nike : « NOCTA » et d’imaginer des collections et collabs efficaces.
Ce nouvel opus avec BAPE remet donc un peu de lumière sur OVO.
D’après les premières images, cette BAPE STA spéciale arbore un look à la fois street et chic.
Entièrement blanche, elle se compose d’un upper en cuir comportant des motifs de fausse peaux de serpent et de crocodile. Les superpositions et le heel tab arborent la même construction. Sur les panneaux latéraux, la traditionnelle « Etoile Filante » de Bape a été modifiée pour mettre en valeur la collaboration. L’étoile apparaît accrochée au branding OVO. Pour affirmer l’association des 2 marques, la paire bénéficie d’un dubrae métallique spécial en forme de chouette, le logo du label de Drake. Le look est finalisé par un tag de languette comportant le branding BAPE noir et par une semelle entièrement blanche.
Cette édition collaborative sera livrée dans une box inédite, spécialement conçue pour l’occasion.

This new opus with BAPE puts some light on OVO.
According to the first images, this special BAPE STA has a look both street and chic.
The all-white shoe features a leather upper with faux snakeskin and crocodile motifs. The overlays and heel tab feature the same construction. On the side panels, Bape’s traditional « Shooting Star » has been modified to highlight the collaboration. The star appears attached to the OVO branding. To affirm the association of the 2 brands, the pair benefits from a special metal dubrae in the shape of an owl, the logo of Drake’s label. The look is finalized by a tongue tag featuring the black BAPE branding and an all white sole.
This collaborative edition will be delivered in a brand new box, specially designed for the occasion.
