Il y quelques semaines, je vous parlais dans un article (dispo ICI) de la dernière collaboration entre Puma et Overkill. Pour ce nouvel opus, la team OVERKILL a choisi de revisiter des modèles classiques des archives PUMA : la XS 7000 et la Mirage OG.
Ayant eu la chance de recevoir la Puma XS 7000, je vous propose de la découvrir en images à mes pieds.
La Puma XS 7000 est sortie en 1991. Elle a révolutionné le sneaker game de l’époque en étant la 1ère chaussure de sport sans lacets. Cette sneaker innovante bénéficiait du légendaire « Disc System », dans lequel une construction interne en fil métallique est fermée en tordant le disque pour assurer un ajustement optimal.
En ce qui concerne le look, cette nouvelle version collaborative rappelle l’édition retro « Berlin Luft » sortie en 2020 pour le 70ème anniversaire de la marque d’alcool Schilkin. Elle se compose d’une empeigne en mesh vert menthe avec des superpositions en daim premium assorti. Le co-branding orne la languette et l’insole, et les talons sont agrémentés d’une combinaison jaune/noire logo-branding associant les partenaires. L’ensemble repose sur une midsole blanc cassé et une outsole bicolore noire et verte.

The Puma XS 7000 was released in 1991. It revolutionized the sneaker game at the time by being the 1st sports shoe without laces. This innovative sneaker featured the legendary « Disc System », in which an internal wire construction is closed by twisting the disc to ensure an optimal fit.
As far as the look is concerned, this new collaborative version is reminiscent of the retro « Berlin Luft » edition released in 2020 for the 70th anniversary of the Schilkin alcohol brand.It consists of a mint green mesh upper with matching premium suede overlays. Co-branding adorns the tongue and insole, and the heels are embellished with a yellow/black logo-branding combination associating the partners. The whole is based on an off-white midsole and a two-tone black and green outsole.
