NIKE AIR FORCE 1 RUCKER PARK

[:en]To pay tribute to a legendary basketball court on the East Coast of the United States, located in the Harlem district of New York City, Nike has decided to offer us a pack of three sneakers, an Air Flight 89, an Air Barrage Low and an Air Force 1. It’s the latter that we will focus on today. We discover an AIR FORCE 1 LOW modeled after Rucker Park. In this space, we find  a playground that has become a cult place for basketball fans. Indeed, many NBA players have trained there and afterwards, it was used as a luxurious setting for videos and even for two movies about street and basketball culture.

This AIR FORCE 1 LOW represents tradition with its white leather upper and brings a touch of the typical basketball color, orange, to distinguish itself from the classic model.

This beautiful orange hue can be found on the stitching that defines the different inserts of the upper, including the swoosh, insole, inner lining and collar, as well as the Nike embroidered on the back of the heel.

The white mesh honeycomb tongue is accented with an orange Nike branding tag to accentuate the matching.

To further personalize this iteration, there’s a cute orange ball deubré and the park’s zip code embroidered with black thread on the small orange swoosh on the side of the heel.

The whole is based on a white midsole with an orange stitching combined with an orange rubber outsole to finalize the design.

THE NIKE AIR FORCE 1 RUCKER PARK will be released on May 13, 2020 at some retailers on the Asian continent, such as Atmos. Soon it will be released worldwide and will be available on Nike.com and at regular retailers for a price of 110€.
