La marque outdoor japonaise SNOW PEAK dévoile un nouveau volet de sa collaboration avec l’avant-poste conceptuel de la marque de Boston, le New Balance TOKYO DESIGN STUDIO. Les 2 partenaires nous proposent une 3ème collection capsule composée de vêtements et de la boot TDS Niobium Concept 3.
Cette nouvelle paire inventive et modulaire est à la fois fonctionnelle, confortable et stylée.
Elle comprend une construction en 2 couches : une coque extérieure protectrice pour l’hiver au look minimaliste et une botte intérieure davantage audacieuse, décontractée, légère et amovible afin de pouvoir être portée à l’extérieur comme à l’intérieur.
La TDS Niobium Concept 3 portée avec sa coque extérieure est déperlante et durable, grâce à l’utilisation du matériau eVent et de la technologie Vibram. Côté design, la boot opte pour un coloris blanc et gris inspiré des paysages enneigés. Elle fait référence également à la scène streetwear de Tokyo des années 1990, avec son épaisse et performante semelle extérieure rappelant celle de la NB 580.
La botte intérieure en textile offre une touche de couleur. Elle présente une base recouverte d’un motif ‘glacier’ en différentes nuances de bleu et arbore des calligraphies japonaises blanches. Ce chausson intérieur bénéficie d’une isolation remarquable grâce au matériau PrimaLoft léger et hydrofuge.
Cette chaussure sortira accompagnée d’une capsule de vêtements comprenant une veste et un gilet en duvet, reprenant les coloris et les motifs présents sur la botte.
La Snow Peak × TOKYO DESIGN STUDIO New Balance Niobium Concept 3 et le reste de la collection devraient être disponibles en édition limitée le 5 janvier 2024, chez les détaillants sélectionnés et sur newbalance.com. Le prix de la boot est fixé à 300$.
This inventive, modular pair is functional, comfortable and stylish.
It features a 2-layer construction : a protective outer shell for winter with a minimalist look, and a bolder inner boot that’s casual, lightweight and removable, so it can be worn both indoors and out.
The TDS Niobium Concept 3 worn with its outer shell is water-repellent and durable, thanks to the use of eVent material and Vibram technology. In terms of design, the boot opts for a white and grey color scheme inspired by snowy landscapes. It also references the Tokyo streetwear scene of the 1990s, with its thick, high-performance outsole reminiscent of the NB 580.
The textile inner boot offers a touch of color. It consists of a base covered with a ‘glacier’ pattern in various shades of blue and sports white Japanese calligraphy. This inner bootie boasts outstanding insulation thanks to the lightweight, water-repellent PrimaLoft material.
This shoe will be released with a clothing capsule featuring a down jacket and vest, echoing the colors and patterns featured on the boot.
The Snow Peak × TOKYO DESIGN STUDIO New Balance Niobium Concept 3 and the rest of the collection should be available in limited edition on January 5, 2024, at selected retailers and on newbalance.com. The boot is priced at $300.
