Il y a quelques mois, je vous parlais dans un article (dispo ICI) de la fameuse Nike Air Force 1 Kith « Paris ». Une paire de chaussures créée par le designer américain Ronnie Fieg en l’honneur de l’ouverture, en ce début d’année 2021, de son premier shop européen Kith basé à Paris.
M’étant déplacé jusqu’à Paris pour me procurer cette AF1, je vous propose de la découvrir en images à mes pieds.
La sneaker se compose d’un upper en cuir de qualité premium blanc pur avec les superpositions en ton sur ton. Le Swoosh latéral, la languette et les lacets se parent aussi de blanc. Sur les panneaux latéraux, on retrouve le logo monogramme KITH en relief, ajoutant du cachet à la paire. Pour affirmer le design haut de gamme, la doublure intérieure est en velours et se présente de couleur bleu marine. Le mini-Swoosh sur le mudguard est brodé en bleu, blanc, rouge, clin d’œil au drapeau tricolore français. Le co-branding sur l’étiquette de languette apparaît aussi sous la forme et aux couleurs du drapeau français. Cette paire, travaillée avec soin, comporte des détails particuliers, comme les prints sur l’insole et les logos KITH AIR et le NIKE AIR de talon revisités façon Ronnie Fieg. L’ensemble repose sur une semelle vintage jaunie, finalisant ainsi le design.
Que dire si ce n’est que je valide à 100% cette collaboration rendant hommage à la France. Pour moi, le blanc sur une AF1 correspond déjà à un « sans faute ». L’associer à un mini Swoosh aux couleurs du drapeau français bleu, blanc, rouge de manière discrète mais efficace, apporte un certain cachet au modèle. Les autres détails (Kith gravé sur les panneaux latéraux, l’étiquette de languette, le « Kith Air » brodé sur le talon…) sont également de toute beauté. Si je devais lui trouver un petit défaut, ce serait, comme pour la Air Max x Sean Wotherspoon, son lining type velours qui attrape la chaussette jusqu’à nous l’enlever sur une partie du pied. Bref vous l’aurez compris, cette AF1 me paraît indispensable dans une collection de sneakers addict.

The sneaker consists of a pure white premium leather upper with tonal overlays. The side Swoosh, tongue and laces are also in white. On the side panels, we find an embossed KITH monogram logo, adding character to the pair. To affirm the high-end design, the inner lining is made of velvet and comes in navy blue color. The mini-Swoosh on the mudguard is embroidered in blue, white, red, a nod to the French tricolor flag. The co-branding on the tongue label also appears in the form and colors of the French flag. This pair, worked with care, has particular details, as the prints on the insole and the heel logos KITH AIR and NIKE AIR revisited in the Ronnie Fieg way. The whole is based on a yellowed vintage sole, finalizing the design.
What to say except that I validate in 100% this collaboration paying tribute to France. For me, white on an AF1 is already a « no fault ». Combining it with a mini Swoosh in the colors of the French flag blue, white, red in a discreet but effective way, brings a certain cachet to the pair. The other details (Kith engraved on the side panels, the label on the tongue, the « Kith Air » embroidered on the heel …) are also beautiful. If I had to find a small defect, it would be, as for the Air Max x Sean Wotherspoon, its lining type velvet that catches the sock until we remove it on part of the foot. In short, you will have understood, this AF1 seems to me essential in a collection of sneakers addict.
