La fameuse boutique Asphaltgold bouscule les codes pour le Black Friday de cette année 2020. A la place de faire un maximum de profits grâce à cette journée de promotions exceptionnelles, le shop allemand a choisi de fermer ses ventes en ligne. Le but est de sensibiliser à la cause anti-racisme : l’humain avant l’argent.
Les achats en ligne seront effectivement bloqués mais un seul et unique article sera disponible : un t-shirt portant une déclaration d’amour et de paix, d’union et de force commune. Le détaillant espère ainsi répandre un message anti-racisme fort et partager une idée de cohésion pacifique. Ce t-shirt unisexe à manches courtes est de couleur noire, avec un slogan écrit en blanc « We all walk on the same earth » ( Nous marchons tous sur la même terre) et un texte exposant le besoin d’un avenir dépourvu de racisme. Des touches de rouge comme les mots « RACISM SUCKS » ou le dessin d’un poing levé et fermé (devenu symbole du mouvement « Black Lives Matters ») apparaissent également sur cette pièce textile.
Daniel Benz, le PDG d’Asphaltgold a déclaré « 2020 est tout sauf une année ordinaire, c’est ce qui nous a poussé à franchir une étape inhabituelle. Nous voulons profiter de l’élan de la journée du Black Friday pour nous positionner en tant qu’antiracistes. Les incidents aux Etats-Unis, ainsi que l’assaut dans notre ville voisine d’Hanau, nous ont incités à prendre clairement position. »

Online purchases will be effectively blocked but only one item will be available : a t-shirt bearing a declaration of love and peace, union and common strength. The retailer thus hopes to spread a strong anti-racism message and share an idea of peaceful cohesion. The short-sleeved unisex t-shirt is black, with a slogan written in white « We all walk on the same earth » and a text outlining the need for a future free of racism. Red touches such as the words « RACISM SUCKS » or the drawing of a raised and closed fist (which has become a symbol of the « Black Lives Matters » movement) also appear on this textile piece.
