En plus de travailler sur des collections dédiées aux Jeux Olympiques de Paris 2024, la légendaire marque de sport française LE COQ SPORTIF (LCS) continue de s’investir dans la culture sneaker à travers des collaborations accrocheuses. LCS s’est associé à l’emblématique shop lyonnais SHOEZ GALLERY qui célèbre ses 20 ans d’existence à travers une R1100 spéciale.
SHOEZ GALLERY a ouvert ses portes en 2003 au pied des Pentes de la Croix-Rousse, avec la volonté de démocratiser les sneakers. La boutique présentait déjà à l’époque, avant la hype, une belle sélection de paires pour un public averti. Au fil des années, Shoez Gallery a gagné en popularité et reste encore aujourd’hui un sneakershop de référence.
Avec Le Coq Sportif, Shoez Gallery a souhaité mettre à l’honneur le quartier qui l’a vu naître et grandir à travers la silhouette retro de la R1100. La Presqu’île où le shop est établit arbore une identité à part entière. Elle est enlacée par 2 grands fleuves, le Rhône et la Saône et se pare de façades aux tons colorés qui rend hommage à l’une des plus belles périodes de Lyon, la Renaissance.
La runner LCS de 1992 revisitée par le shop lyonnais se présente donc dans une combinaison de blanc cassé, crème, beige, jaune, rose, marron clair et gris, des teintes fidèles aux couleurs des murs des habitations du quartier de Shoez Gallery. Cette chaussure se compose d’un upper combinant différents matériaux, comme du mesh, du cuir et du daim. Pour compléter le look, le logo Le Coq apparaît de couleur noire sur le quater panel, assorti à l’œillet supérieur et au clip de talon, et ‘Shoez Gallery’ orne le heel tab. L’ensemble repose sur une midsole confortable blanc cassé de technologie Dynactif.

SHOEZ GALLERY opened its doors in 2003 at the foot of the slopes of the Croix-Rousse, with the desire to democratize sneakers. The store already presented at the time, before the hype, a nice selection of pairs for a well-informed public. Over the years, Shoez Gallery has gained in popularity and is still today a reference sneakershop.
With Le Coq Sportif, Shoez Gallery wanted to honor the neighborhood where it was born and raised through the retro silhouette of the R1100. The Presqu’île where the shop is established has its own identity. It’s embraced by two great rivers, the Rhône and the Saône, and is adorned with colorful facades that pay tribute to one of the most beautiful periods of Lyon, the Renaissance.
The 1992 LCS runner revisited by the Lyon-based shop is presented in a combination of off-white, cream, beige, yellow, pink, light brown and grey, colors faithful to the colors of the walls of the houses in the Shoez Gallery district. This shoe is composed of an upper combining different materials, such as mesh, leather and suede. To complete the look, the Le Coq logo appears in black on the quarter panel, matching the upper eyelet and heel clip, and ‘Shoez Gallery’ adorns the heel tab. The whole is based on a comfortable off-white midsole with Dynactif technology.
