[:fr]Il y a quelques jours, se déroulait du côté de Toulouse la première édition d’un magnifique festival de musique rêvé et créé par les deux artistes Big Flo & Oli, en partenariat avec des acteurs locaux tels que Bleu Citron ou la Dépêche du Midi. Ayant été invité en tant que média, j’ai eu la chance de participer à cet évènement sur les deux jours. Je vous propose donc de découvrir ce premier « ROSE FESTIVAL » à travers mon regard et celui de @Gawmess (Ce dernier que je remercie pour ses photos ayant moi même oublié de faire une demande d’accréditation photo).
Le premier jour, vendredi 2 septembre 2022, me voilà en route vers le MEET (Parc des expositions de Toulouse Métropole) situé à Aussonne. Il est 16:45, la circulation est fluide et tout semble sous contrôle en termes d’organisation et de sécurité, avec des panneaux, des bénévoles et une sécurité en nombre tout autour des points d’accès aux parkings.
Une fois les bracelets Presse récupérés, je traverse un long couloir donnant sur un immense espace me faisant plonger dans un véritable univers visuel teinté de rose et composé de deux grandes scènes, ainsi que de différents espaces dédiés à la restauration, aux partenaires privés ou aux médias. C’est en découvrant tout ceci que l’on se rend compte que ce festival s’est déjà constitué une véritable identité propre rendant hommage à la ville « Rose » de Toulouse.
Tout ceci étant dit, une fois rentré, je tombe directement sur l’un des artistes peintres les plus talentueux de sa génération : SUPRAW (fondateur de @supraaaw , @triple.sphere , @triplespherehikingclub) en train de peindre une fresque « Rose Festival » (il est à noter que sur les deux jours de nombreux festivaliers se sont pris en photos avec cette fresque en fond).
Arrivé sur la fin du set de l’artiste Zinée, je commence mon festival avec MOUSS & HAKIM (membres du groupe Zebda) qui d’entrée de jeu mettent tout le monde à l’aise en se présentant avec un accent toulousain et une musique populaire pleine d’énergie. Ils arrivent parfaitement à capter l’attention du public avec une foule grandissante au fur et à mesure de la prestation.
Je rate le set de L’impératrice pour enchainer sur celui de BEN MAZUE qui a également fait son show. C’était un peu mou pour moi (je suis resté 25 minutes), mais il avait son public qui a visiblement apprécié sa prestation.
A 20:05, c’est au tour de DELUXE de rentrer en scène, avec une prestation de toute beauté qui a capté le public dès la première minute. Personnellement, je ne connaissais pas et j’ai beaucoup aimé la scénographie et la musique.
21:00, c’est au tour du duo le plus célèbre de Toulouse et de France BIG FLO & OLI de rentrer en scène pour un véritable show mené à la baguette avec de la puissance, de l’énergie et des moments d’interaction avec un public réceptif et visiblement heureux d’être là. On a vraiment senti de l’amour partagé entre les deux frères et ce public bouillant. Pour moi, on a assisté au meilleur show de ce samedi.
Aux alentours de 22:00, c’est au tour de ZIAK de nous entrainer dans son univers avec lui aussi un bon show Drill et rap réussi. Il faut saluer le décor et le bon jeu de lumière sur cette scène. Accompagné de ses deux partenaires, ZIAK a su occuper l’espace et donner du love à un public n’hésitant pas à chanter avec lui.
23:00, c’est au tour de l’artiste belgo-congolais DAMSO de nous faire un bon show. Il était, comme Big Flo & Oli, l’un des artistes les plus attendus de la soirée, et on peut dire qu’il a fait le travail, avec un public n’hésitant pas à chanter et crier avec lui. De manière personnelle, j’ai trouvé le show sympa. La pluie, qui a commencé à tomber sur la fin de sa prestation, n’a pas empêché les gens de chanter et danser. A la fin de son show, aux alentours de 00:00, on a eu droit à un superbe feu d’artifice sous la pluie. C’est à ce moment que je suis parti, sans voir le show de Polo & Pan et de NTO.
Cette première journée aura été très bonne et intense. Il n’y a eu aucun débordement et tous les gens que j’ai pu croiser avaient le sourire.
Seconde journée, samedi 3 septembre, j’arrive à l’heure et je peux assister au show de CHILLA, qui, malgré une grande absence médiatique depuis plusieurs mois, trouve à 17:00 un public prêt à l’écouter et partager avec elle. Elle nous fait un bon show comme LUIDJI qui enchaine à 17:50 devant un public très nombreux. Il n’a pas sorti d’album depuis un petit moment déjà et pourtant sa fan base semble solide. Les nombreuses filles présentes devant la scène connaissent tous ses morceaux par cœur et l’encouragent durant tout le show. Il a très bien occupé la scène et interagi avec le public. J’ai beaucoup aimé sa prestation.
18:40, c’est au tour du mythique groupe de rap marseillais IAM de venir mettre le feu au Rose Festival, en oscillant entre nouveaux morceaux et classiques tranchants. L’énergie était autant sur la scène, avec un Shurik’n déchainé, que dans le public chantant et sautant dans tous les sens. Un gros big up à eux car ils ont vraiment assuré.
19:45, je vais voir FKJ curieux de découvrir un musicien multi-instrumentiste et Dj. J’ai beaucoup aimé la scénographie très sixties, ainsi que sa tenue vintage. Il y avait un vrai style marqué, accentué par de beaux instruments oldies présents sur scène. La prestation était très sympa, permettant de décompresser après le show de Iam et juste avant le show de Big Flo & Oli.
20:40, BIG FLO & OLI reviennent pour un second show après celui de la veille. Que dire ? Ben ils font, encore une fois, le show avec une grosse prestation. Comme d’habitude, ils donnent tout pour le plus grand plaisir de leurs fans et du public. Bravo à eux.
Je ne vois pas le show de Folamour et j’enchaine à 22:40 avec l’artiste (Toulousain) le plus attendu de la journée : LAYLOW. On assiste à un vrai show, avec une vraie scénographie, de l’interaction, du partage… des sentiments quand l’artiste a les yeux mouillés au moment d’évoquer le plaisir qu’il a à jouer chez lui à Toulouse. On ressent véritablement l’émotion dans sa voix. Il a vraiment tout donné et réalisé une excellente prestation. Un magnifique feu d’artifice éclate juste après son show.
Malheureusement, pris dans l’émotion et le débriefing avec les amis présents au sujet du show de Laylow, j’en oublie les autres artistes présents et j’entends une partie de la prestation de BON ENTENDEUR qui semble faire un bon show electro, comme le Dj/producteur PAUL KALKBRENNER qui enchaîne pour un set electro/techno.
Encore une fois, j’ai passé une excellente soirée. Je crois sincèrement que la première édition du ROSE FESTIVAL aura été un véritable succès de A à Z. L’organisation générale a été bonne du début à la fin, avec un festival sold out bien avant le début de l’évènement (50 000 personnes) et deux soirées excellentes en termes de line up. Je crois que les équipes du ROSE vont avoir la pression pour la prochaine édition… Il va falloir faire aussi bien, voire mieux, avec une barre déjà très haute. Vivement la seconde édition !
The first day, Friday, September 2, 2022, here I am on my way to the MEET (Parc des expositions de Toulouse Métropole) located in Aussonne. It’s 4:45 pm, the traffic is fluid and everything seems to be under control in terms of organization and security, with signs, volunteers and a lot of security all around the access points to the parking lots.
Once the Press bracelets have been collected, I cross a long corridor leading to a huge space that plunges me into a real visual universe tinted with pink and composed of two big stages, as well as different spaces dedicated to the catering, to the private partners or to the media. It’s by discovering all this that one realizes that this festival has already constituted a true identity of its own paying homage to the « Pink » city of Toulouse.
All this being said, once Inside the event, I came across one of the most talented painters of his generation : SUPRAW (founder of @supraaaw , @triple.sphere , @triplespherehikingclub) painting a « Rose Festival » fresco (note that over the two days many festival-goers took pictures with this fresco in the background).
Arrived on the end of the set of the artist Zinée, I begin my festival with MOUSS & HAKIM (members of the group Zebda) who from the beginning put everyone at ease by presenting themselves with a Toulouse accent and a popular music full of energy. They manage perfectly to capture the attention of the audience with a growing crowd as the performance goes on.
I miss the set of L’impératrice to continue on the one of BEN MAZUE who also made his show. It was a bit calm for me (I stayed 25 minutes), but he had his audience who obviously appreciated his performance.
At 20:05, it was DELUXE’s turn to come on stage, with a beautiful performance that captured the audience from the first minute. Personally, I didn’t know them before and I really liked the scenography and the music.
21:00, it’s the turn of the most famous duo of Toulouse and France BIG FLO & OLI to enter on stage for a real show led with power, energy and moments of interaction with a receptive public and obviously happy to be there. We really felt the love shared between the two brothers and the audience. For me, this was the best show of the Saturday.
Around 22:00, it’s ZIAK’s turn to take us into his world with a good show Drill and rap successful. It’s necessary to greet the decoration and the good play of light on this scene. Accompanied by his two partners, ZIAK knew how to occupy the space and give love to an audience not hesitating to sing with him.
23:00, it’s the turn of the Belgian-Congolese artist DAMSO to make us a good show. He was, like Big Flo & Oli, one of the most expected artists of the evening, and we can say that he did the job, with an audience not hesitating to sing and shout with him. On a personal note, I thought the show was nice. The rain, which started to fall at the end of his performance, did not prevent people from singing and dancing. At the end of his show, around 00:00, we were treated to a beautiful fireworks display in the rain. That’s when I left, without seeing the show of Polo & Pan and NTO.
This first day was very good and intense. There was no overflow and all the people I met had a smile on their face.
Second day, Saturday September 3rd, I arrived on time and I could attend the show of CHILLA, who, in spite of a big media absence for several months, found at 17:00 an audience ready to listen to her and share with her. She makes us a good show as LUIDJI who follows at 17:50 in front of a very large audience. He has not released an album for a while and yet his fan base seems solid. The numerous girls present in front of the stage know all his songs by heart and encourage him during all the show. He occupied the stage very well and interacted with the audience. I really liked his performance.
18:40, it’s the turn of the mythical rap group IAM from Marseille to set the Rose Festival on fire, oscillating between new songs and sharp classics. The energy was as much on the stage, with a wild Shurik’n, as in the public singing and jumping in all directions. A big Big Up to them because they really assured.
19:45, I go to see FKJ curious to discover a multi-instrumentalist musician and Dj. I liked very much the scenography very sixties, as well as his vintage clothes. There was a real marked style, accentuated by beautiful oldies instruments present on stage. His performance was very nice, allowing to decompress after the show of Iam and just before the show of Big Flo & Oli.
20:40, BIG FLO & OLI come back for a second show after the one the day before. What to say ? Well, once again, they make the show with a big performance. As usual, they give everything for the greatest pleasure of their fans and the public. Congratulations to them.
I don’t see the Folamour show and I go on at 22:40 with the most expected artist of the day : LAYLOW. We attend a real show, with a real scenography, interaction, sharing… feelings when the artist has wet eyes when evoking the pleasure he has to play at home in Toulouse. You can really feel the emotion in his voice. He really gave everything and made an excellent performance. A magnificent fireworks burst just after his show.
Unfortunately, caught in the emotion and debriefing with friends about Laylow’s show, I forget the other artists present and I hear part of the performance of BON ENTENDEUR who seems to make a good electro show, as the Dj/producer PAUL KALKBRENNER who follows for an electro/techno set.
Once again, I had an excellent evening. I sincerely believe that the first edition of the ROSE FESTIVAL was a real success from A to Z. The general organization was good from the beginning to the end, with a sold out festival well before the start of the event (50 000 people) and two excellent nights in terms of line up. I think that the ROSE teams will have the pressure for the next edition… We will have to do as well or even better, with a very high level already. We can’t wait for the second edition !
