La fameuse marque de sport NEW BALANCE nous propose régulièrement des collabs accrocheuses, parfois avec des îcones du skateboard. Quelques jours après avoir fait équipe avec le shop PALACE SKATEBOARD, la marque de Boston dévoile une Tiago Lemos 1010 réimaginée par POETS, le label du skateur pro Gino Iannucci.
Fondé en 2012, POETS était à l’origine un skateshop avant que Gino Iannucci décide de le transformer en entreprise de vêtements. Son nom est tiré du quartier de Poet’s Corner à Long Island New York où Gino a grandi. Fort de son expérience avec ses sponsors FA Skateboards, Venture ou encore Nike SB, l’ancien de chez Chocolote Skateboards a su imaginer des produits qui séduisent les skateurs et gagnent en popularité dans la rue, grâce notamment à leur diffusion dans des magasins de streetwear phares à travers le monde (SUPREME, ATLAS…). Le style de POETS est une fusion entre le streetwear et la haute couture.
La NEW BALANCE Tiago Lemos 1010 a été conçue pour le skateur pro brésilien Tiago Lemos et arbore une esthétique influencée par la mode des années 90.
Avec la touche POETS, ce modèle se pare d’un look streetwear-chic très actuel.
La sneaker se compose d’un upper en mesh blanc, réhaussé par des empiècements en daim velu Sail au niveau du mudguard, du panneau central et du contrefort de talon. Pour compléter le look, des éléments apparaissent de couleur noire : les contours des superpositions sur la toe box et le talon, ainsi que la doublure intérieure, le heel tab et les coutures en zig-zag sur l’arrière du talon en cuir blanc. Les détails de branding tels que le logo N latéral en peluche, l’inscription sur le tag de languette et ‘POETS’ brodé sur le talon sont également présentés en noir. L’ensemble repose sur une midsole blanc cassé bénéficiant de la technologie Fuel Cell et sur une outsole robuste en caoutchouc noir.
La POETS x New Balance Tiago Lemos 1010 sortira le 15 mai 2023 au prix de 110€ (120$) en exclusivité sur le site de la marque de Gino Iannucci poetsbrand.com puis sur newbalance.com le 19 mai 2023.

The NEW BALANCE Tiago Lemos 1010 was designed for Brazilian pro skateboarder Tiago Lemos and features an aesthetic influenced by 90s fashion.
With the POETS touch, this model is adorned with a very current streetwear-chic look.
The sneaker consists of a white mesh upper, enhanced by Sail suede inserts at the mudguard, center panel and heel counter. To complete the look, elements appear in black : the outline of the overlays on the toe box and heel, as well as the inner lining, heel tab and zig-zag stitching on the back of the white leather heel. Branding details like the plush side N logo, tongue tag inscription and embroidered ‘POETS’ on the heel are also featured in black. The whole is based on an off-white midsole featuring Fuel Cell technology and a rugged black rubber outsole.
The POETS x New Balance Tiago Lemos 1010 will be released on May 15, 2023 for $120 exclusively on Gino Iannucci’s brand website poetsbrand.com and then on newbalance.com on May 19, 2023.
