Quelques jours après avoir dévoilé une AWAKE x Converse One Pro Star de couleur bleue, la marque d’Angelo Baque et le légendaire label de sport présentent le pack complet et annoncent la date de sortie.
En plus du coloris Bleu Ciel, cette One Star collaborative apparaît également déclinée en Noir et Blanc Sable.
Angelo Baque a déclaré à propos du modèle choisi pour cette collaboration : « La One Star me rappelle toujours les artistes punk et alternatifs du début des années 90 que j’admirais vraiment, que ce soit Nirvana, The Smashing Pumpkins ou les Beastie Boys – une musique que l’on ne suppose généralement pas que les gens d’où je viens écouteraient, ou portez une paire de One Star ». Il a ajouté : « Si vous portiez une paire de One Stars à l’époque, vous ne souscriviez pas aux normes sociales. »
Avec sa touche AWAKE, la fameuse Converse One Star Pro arbore un look hybride pouvant autant convenir aux skateurs qu’aux amateurs de mode lifestyle. La version One Star Pro est une amélioration de la One Star originale. Elle est dotée d’une semelle extérieure en caoutchouc Converse CONS conçue pour le skate et d’une semelle intérieure CX moulée.
Ces 3 versions se composent d’un upper en daim velu, avec des lacets et une doublure intérieure de couleur assortie ou dans une nuance proche. Pour affirmer le look et la collab, le branding AWAKE apparaît brodé en oversize au-dessus de l’emblématique logo One Star latéral. Ce design spécial est complété par une languette dépourvue de détails de branding, un co-branding ornant l’insole et une bande colorée sur la midsole blanche qui ajoute une belle touche de contraste.
Le pack Awake NY x Converse One Star sortira le 6 octobre 2023 en exclusivité sur le site de la marque new yorkaise awakenyclothing.com, avant un lancement plus large le 12 octobre 2023 chez les détaillants sélectionnés. Let’s go !

In addition to the Sky Blue colorway, this collaborative One Star also appears in Black and Sand White.
Commenting on the model chosen for this collaboration, Angelo Baque said : « The One Star always connects back to the early ‘90s punk and alternative artists I really admired, whether it be Nirvana, The Smashing Pumpkins, or the Beastie Boys—music that typically you wouldn’t assume people where I’m from would listen to, or wear a pair of the One Star ». He added : « If you wore a pair of One Stars back then, you didn’t subscribe to social norms. »
With its AWAKE touch, the famous Converse One Star sports a hybrid look that can suit skateboarders and lifestyle fashion enthusiasts alike.
The One Star Pro version is an improvement on the original One Star. It features a Converse CONS rubber outsole designed for skateboarding and a molded CX insole.
All 3 versions feature a velvety suede upper, with laces and inner lining in a matching color or shade. To affirm the look and the collab, the AWAKE branding appears embroidered in oversize above the iconic side One Star logo. This special design is complemented by a tongue devoid of branding details, co-branding adorning the insole and a colored stripe on the white midsole that adds a nice touch of contrast.
The Awake NY x Converse One Star pack will be released on October 6, 2023 exclusively on the New York-based brand’s website awakenyclothing.com, before a wider launch on October 12, 2023 at selected retailers. Let’s go !
