Nike et Foot Locker entretiennent depuis très longtemps de bonnes relations avec notamment des collaborations mettant en avant des modèles classiques dans des coloris nouveaux, voir inédits. Aujourd’hui, ces derniers se sont intéressés aux basketteurs et plus précisément à leurs rituels d’avant-match.
En effet, les sportifs ont très souvent des rituels propres, parfois inexpliqués et inexplicables, parfois simples et compliqués. Le but étant de se mettre dans les meilleures conditions mentales avant une compétition.
Les joueurs de basket De’Aaron Fox des Sacramento Kings, Ben Simmons des Philadelphia 76ers, Luka Dončić des Dallas Mavericks et Brittney Griner des Phoenix Mercury ont chacun leurs rituels. La Air Force 1 De’Aaron Fox & Brittney Griner se compose d’un upper en cuir blanc sur lequel on retrouve un swoosh faisant référence aux formes d’ondes acoustiques situées dans les mediums. Un mini swoosh entouré d’ondes rouges et jaunes se distingue au niveau de la toebox. L’ensemble repose sur une semelle intercalaire blanche et une outsole purple.
NIKE BLAZER MID ’77 « MOTIVATION » BEN SIMMONS
La Blazer Mid 77 se compose d’un upper en suede craquelé gris sur lequel on retrouve deux dessins et phrases sur les côtés latéraux de la chaussure : « Heart in the Game » d’un côté, et « Pride & Passion » de l’autre. Sur chacun des talons, on peut voir les mots « Dedication » d’un côté et « Motivation » de l’autre. L’ensemble repose sur une semelle marron.
Sur chacune des silhouettes on retrouve une étiquette de languette verte et noire contenant la mention « Nike Hoops » ainsi que « Since 1972 », l’année de naissance de Nike.
