L’équipementier Nike met à l’honneur deux talentueux sportifs, LeBron James et Kylian Mbappé en nous proposant un pack nommé « The Chosen 2 ». Cette collaboration célèbre l’amour pour le jeu et de la communauté de deux athlètes, ainsi que leurs performances d’élite dans leur domaine respectif, le basketball et le football. Cette capsule est composée d’une paire de crampons Mercurial Mbappé et d’une sneaker LeBron 18, spécialement revisitées pour l’occasion.
LeBron James et Kylian Mbappé sont tous deux des héros locaux à part entière. Ces natifs respectifs d’Akron, une commune en Ohio aux Etats-Unis, et de Bondy, une ville de la banlieue parisienne, n’ont jamais oublié d’où ils venaient. Au contraire, ils ont en commun ce désir de rendre à leur communauté ce qu’elle leur a donné et aider les générations futures.
En créant ce pack, Nike souhaite participer à cette démarche de reconnaissance et d’entraide. Pour son lancement, le géant américain fait un don à la fondation IBKM du footballeur professionnel du PSG (Inspired By Kylian Mbappé) et à la LeBron James Family Foundation.
La chaussure de Football Mercurial Mbappé Chosen 2 combine un motif Kylian Mbappé x LeBron James. Elle se compose d’un upper mélangeant du noir et de l’argenté avec une finition irisée. Un logo bleu « Chosen One » orne l’avant du pied et un logo KM et LBJ en 3D apparaît sur l’étiquette de languette. Un double Swoosh latéral spécial présentant avec un ajout de couleur rouge complète le design. Pour finaliser le look, les lacets sont bicolores, la zone de cheville est finement tissée de couleur noire et les insoles comportent des prints rendant hommage aux terrains de football et de basketball.
La sneaker LeBron 18 Chosen 2 se compose d’une empeigne Knitposite 2.0 de couleur noire. Le Air System sur la languette de couleur argent métallique combine les logos LBJ et KM ainsi qu’un ambigramme « Chosen One ». Cette chaussure se pare également d’un double Swoosh de couleur chaude. On le retrouve apposé subtilement sur la toe box et sur l’insole. Le talon est agrémenté d’un graphique spécial LeBron x Kylian noir reposant sur un fond purple. Un épais renfort de talon semi-translucide et une semelle icy finalisent le design.
A propos de cette capsule collaborative, les deux sportifs de haut niveau ont fait une déclaration démontrant leurs visions communes :
Kylian Mbappé : « LeBron est un champion unique et j’ai le plus grand respect pour lui sur le terrain, mais aussi en dehors. Il est une source d’inspiration pour moi. D’Akron à Paris, nous agissons tous les deux pour faire bouger les lignes dans notre société et offrir un monde meilleur à la jeune génération. J’espère vraiment que notre message commun aura un fort impact social et ce n’est que le début de nos histoires. Je veux inspirer et porter cette jeune génération, leur montrer que tout est possible. LeBron James and Kylian Mbappé are both local heroes in their own right. These respective natives of Akron, a town in Ohio in the United States, and Bondy, a town in the suburbs of Paris, have never forgotten where they came from. On the contrary, they share a common desire to give back to their community what it has given them and help future generations.
By creating this pack, Nike wishes to participate in this process of recognition and mutual aid. For its launch, the American giant is making a donation to the IBKM foundation of the PSG professional footballer (Inspired By Kylian Mbappé) and to the LeBron James Family Foundation.
The Mercurial Mbappé Chosen 2 soccer shoe combines a Kylian Mbappé x LeBron James pattern. It consists of an upper mixing black and silver with an iridescent finish. A blue « Chosen One » logo adorns the front of the foot and a 3D KM and LBJ logo appears on the tongue label. A special double side Swoosh with a red color addition completes the design. To complete the look, the laces are two-tone, the ankle area is finely woven in black and the insoles feature prints paying tribute to soccer and basketball fields.
The LeBron 18 Chosen 2 sneaker features a black Knitposite 2.0 vamp. The Air System on the silver metallic tongue combines the LBJ and KM logos and a « Chosen One » ambigram. This shoe also features a warm color double Swoosh. It’s subtly affixed on the toe box and on the insole. The heel is embellished with a special LeBron x Kylian black graphic on a purple background. A thick semi-translucent heel reinforcement and an icy sole finalize the design.
About this collaborative capsule, the two top athletes made a statement demonstrating their common vision:
Kylian Mbappé: « LeBron is a unique champion and I have the utmost respect for him both on and off the field. He is a source of inspiration for me.
