A l’approche de l’été, NIKE commence à dévoiler des paires idéales pour les journées chaudes et ensoleillées. Après nous avoir présenté la sandale Air Adjust Force, le géant américain évoque la réédition de la Nike Air Rift OG « Kenya ».
La fameuse chaussure hybride ‘sneaker-sandale’, au look à la fois audacieux et accrocheur, est sortie en coloris « Kenya » pour la 1ère fois en 1996, puis a été rééditée en 2015. Elle fera un nouveau retour pour l’été 2023.
Cette Nike Air Rift « Kenya » tire son inspiration initiale des coureurs pieds nus kenyans de la Rift Valley et des couleurs de leur drapeau national.
Suivant ce thème, elle arbore une palette de couleurs noire, vert forêt, blanche et rouge. La silhouette estivale se compose d’un upper en mesh textile extensible avec sa conception de pointe fendue emblématique. Elle combine une sous-couche verte avec une toe box, des superpositions latérales et des sangles Velcro noires. Pour ajouter une touche d’audace, l’insole et les détails de branding, sur le strap arrière et sur la toe box latérale, sont présentés en rouge vif. L’ensemble repose sur une confortable midsole blanche dotée d’une unité Air et sur une outsole en caoutchouc noir.

The famous hybrid ‘sneaker-sandal’ shoe, with its bold and eye-catching look, was first released in « Kenya » colorway in 1996, and then re-released in 2015. It will make a comeback for the summer of 2023.
This Nike Air Rift « Kenya » takes its initial inspiration from the Kenyan barefoot runners of the Rift Valley and the colors of their national flag.
Following this theme, it sports a black, forest green, white and red color palette. The summer silhouette consists of a stretchy textile mesh upper with its iconic split toe design. It combines a green underlay with a toe box, side overlays and Velcro straps in black. To add a bold touch, the insole and branding details, on the back strap and side toe box, are featured in bright red. The whole is based on a comfortable white midsole with an Air unit and a black rubber outsole.
The Nike Air Rift « Kenya » will be released on Summer 2023, for a price around $120, at selected retailers and on nike.com. More info to come, stay tuned !
