La silhouette d’archives qui a connaît un succès surprise cette année, la NEW BALANCE BB 550, arrive dans le shop berlinois OVERKILL. Elle nous est proposée en 3 coloris accrocheurs « Sea Salt/Varisty Gold », « Sea Salt/Burgundy » et « Sea Salt/Black ».
L’équipementier New Balance a fait un coup de maître à la fin de l’année 2020 en invitant le label streetwear AIME LEON DORE à plonger dans ses archives et en ressortir une silhouette presque oubliée, la NB BB 550. Cette sneaker était sortie initialement en 1989 et n’avait jamais rééditée auparavant. Elle a connu un succès immédiat alors réintroduite par la marque de Teddy Santis et a gagné une belle popularité tout au long de l’année en servant de base à d’importantes collabs (plusieurs articles disponibles sur ce site).
Cette chaussure bball retro reste authentique et transporte le charme des 90’s dans notre quotidien. Elle se compose d’une base en cuir blanc avec un mudguard en daim gris clair et une languette et un col en mesh. La touche de couleur contrastante jaune, bordeaux ou noire, habille élégamment l’emblématique logo N latéral, la face interne de la languette, la zone sous cheville, le clip de talon, les détails de branding et l’outsole. Pour assurer le look intemporel et lifestyle, la semelle intermédiaire conserve son harmonieuse couleur blanche.

The equipment manufacturer New Balance made a master stroke at the end of 2020 by inviting the streetwear label AIME LEON DORE to dive into its archives and bring out an almost forgotten silhouette, the NB BB 550. This sneaker was originally released in 1989 and had never been reissued before. It was an immediate success then reintroduced by the brand of Teddy Santis and gained a nice popularity throughout the year by serving as a basis for important collabs (several articles available on this site).
This retro bball shoe remains authentic and carries the charm of the 90’s in our daily life. It consists of a white leather base with a light grey suede mudguard and a mesh tongue and collar. The touch of contrasting yellow, burgundy or black color, elegantly dresses the iconic side N logo, the inner side of the tongue, the under ankle area, the heel clip, the branding details and the outsole.
