Le célèbre détaillant britannique END. vient d’ouvrir une nouvelle boutique dans la ville de Manchester. Pour célébrer cet évènement, une collection spéciale a été conçue en collaboration avec plusieurs marques emblématiques vendues dans l’enseigne fondée par Christiaan Ashworth et John Parker en 2005. Parmi ces produits exclusifs, une Clarks Originals Wallabee.
La collection « Manchester Exclusive » rend hommage à cette ville emblématique et à son importance culturelle.
C’est donc tout naturellement que la collaboration avec Clarks s’est portée sur la Wallabee, l’abeille étant l’emblème de Manchester. Cet insecte symbolise l’esprit travailleur des Mancuniens, la cité constituant un véritable « hive of activity » (un centre bourdonnant d’activités). La ruche et l’abeille caractérisent le fort sentiment d’unité de Manchester.
La Clarks Originals Wallabee est transformée avec une multitude de détails spécifiques à la collection. Elle se compose d’une empeigne en daim beige avec des coutures assorties. Pour affirmer l’hommage à Manchester, le graphisme d’une abeille est gravé au laser sur la toe box. La paire bénéficie d’un double hangtag, l’un beige brandé Clarks Originals et l’autre jaune gravé END. et orné du graphisme d’abeille. Le look chic est accentué par l’ajout d’un tassel beige aux côtés de ces hangtags. L’élégant co-branding apparaît apposé couleur or sur l’insole jaune orangé évoquant le miel. L’ensemble repose sur une légendaire semelle en crêpe jaunie.
Coté footwear, la collection comprend aussi une Dr Martens 1461 en cuir noir avec des coutures jaunes, une Puma Suede noire avec le logo latéral jaune et un branding de languette spécial présentant une illustration d’abeille, ainsi qu’une Reebok Club C en cuir blanc cassé avec des lacets marrons clair et dotée d’insole et tag de languette personnalisés.
Coté vêtements, les marques de Manchester REPRESENT et HIKERDELIC rendent hommage à leur héritage avec des pièces ornées de graphismes spéciaux, alors que SPORTY & RICH a retravaillé ses articles signatures afin de leur donner un look exclusif Manchester.

The collaboration with Clarks was a natural choice for the Wallabee, the bee being the emblem of Manchester. The bee symbolizes the hard-working spirit of Mancunians, the city being a true « hive of activity ». The beehive and the bee characterize Manchester’s strong sense of unity.
The Clarks Originals Wallabee is transformed with a multitude of collection-specific details. It consists of a beige suede upper with matching stitching. To affirm the homage to Manchester, a bee graphic is laser engraved on the toe box. The pair has a double hangtag, one beige branded Clarks Originals and the other yellow engraved END. and adorned with the bee graphic. The chic look is accentuated by the addition of a beige tassel alongside these hangtags. The elegant co-branding appears in gold on the honey-like orange-yellow insole. The set rests on a legendary yellowed crepe sole.
On the footwear side, the collection also includes a black Dr. Martens 1461 with yellow stitching, a black Puma Suede with yellow side logo and special tongue branding featuring a bee illustration, and an off-white Reebok Club C leather shoe with light brown laces and custom insole and tongue tag.
On the apparel side, Manchester brands REPRESENT and HIKERDELIC pay homage to their heritage with pieces featuring special graphics, while SPORTY & RICH reworked its signature items to give them an exclusive Manchester look.
