The silhouette of the New Balance 990v3 continues to seduce big names in sneaker game. After being reinterpreted in recent months by KITH, DTLR and JJJJOUND, the famous running shoe appears remodeled by the legendary Baltimore shop « Your City, My City » (YCMC).
YCMC began in 1949 as a store in Baltimore. The family-owned business became a destination for the latest sneaker and apparel releases and has since grown and expanded. It now offers 40 Shoe City-branded locations across Maryland, DC and Virginia. Invested in the community, YCMC has sponsored many programs including recreational sports leagues, playgrounds, college scholarships, clothing drives and food drives.
The Baltimore-based shop brings us an NB 990v3 paying homage to the Boston-based brand’s iconic grey colorway.
The collaborative pair features an updated aesthetic with its light grey mesh base and nubuck overlays in 2 other shades of grey. These overlays appear in dark grey on the toe box and heel tab, and in a grey shade close to white on the midfoot, mudguard and heel reinforcement. To complete the look, the tongue is dressed in dark grey nubuck and the side N logo retains its legendary grey color. The whole is based on a white midsole with a yellowed part, associated with a light grey outsole.
In order to ensure the best matchings, the pair will come with 4 sets of laces playing on the different shades of grey.
The YCMC x New Balance 990v3 will be released on August 25, 2022 in Shoe City shops in Maryland, Washington DC and Virginia, as well as online at ycmc.com. The price is set at $195.
