Vault by Vans, the high-end sub-label of the iconic Californian streetwear brand, is a reference in terms of collaborations. After having proposed a collection with the shop CONCEPTS last month, Vault by Vans finds a solid collaborator : the famous Japanese brand WTAPS, for a 15th common project.
This new collaborative collection is divided into 2 drops and includes an assortment of sneakers, clothing and accessories.
The 1st drop revolves around 4 pairs of revisited lifestyle shoes : OG Chukka LX, OG Era LX, OG Half Cab LX and OG Old Skool LX.
These shoes have a similar style based on a grey suede base with matching overlays. The exclusive OG Chukka LX and OG Era LX feature embroidered white bone patterns on the vamp and a white sole. The reimagined OG Half Cab LX and OG Old Skool LX feature a solid base and black sole, with black logos and co-brandings to keep the style simple and elegant. All 4 styles feature « WTAPS » tags and the iconic red « Vans Off The Wall » badge.
The 2nd drop will focus on reworked pairs to tackle cold temperatures and snow. It includes snowboard boots and the All-Weather MTE silhouettes : Hi-Country, Hell-Bound LX Snowboard Boot, Standard Snow MTE and Coast CC NS LX.
Each pair benefits from V3 UltraCush™ and The North Face Flashdry™ linings that accentuate comfort and protection. These pairs retain the same styling as the 1st drop editions, with a dominant dark grey color and black co-branding details. To ensure improved traction and true durability, the dedicated snow-busting shoes are outfitted with V3 Waffle Superenduro outsole.
Each part of this new collaborative collection will be released with an assortment of specific apparel and accessories. A short sleeve t-shirt in 2 colors and 2 pairs of matching socks for the 1st drop, then a technical and stylish jacket/pant set, beanies and ski helmet bag for the 2nd drop.
The WTAPS x Vault by VANS collection will be released in 2 phases. The 1st drop will take place on November 5, 2022 first in stores and online on the website of the Japanese brand wtaps.com and at selected retailers like SNS. It will then be available on November 29, 2022 on vans.com. On the same principle, the 2nd drop will be held on November 19, 2022 at WTAPS and December 16, 2022 at VANS.
