The Japanese from Mizuno and the Danish streetwear boutique Wood Wood teamed up to offer us a collaboration on the famous retro-tech running shoe of 2007 : the Wave Rider 10.
This project, named Wave Rider 10 “55”, mixes the universes of both brands : sport and fashion, for an original result that encourages expression and experimentation.
This pair is based on the quality of Mizuno shoes and reminds the Copenhagen district “Nørrebo”, dear to the Wood Wood team, giving it a Nordic street style. The colours chosen correspond to the trendy shades of the Danish brand’s Spring Summer 2020 collection.
Throughout the shoe, you’ll find a harmony of colours and high quality materials : breathable mesh, leather and durable suede, ranging from burgundy to blue, grey and pink. The heel is covered in orange suede and there are discreet branding details on the sides of the sneaker, toe box and sole. Comfort is complemented by a VS-1 shock absorption system and a stylish EVA outsole, as is the whole shoe.
This Mizuno x Wood Wood Wave Rider 10 “55” collaboration will be available exclusively in all Wood Wood stores and online on Friday, March 20, 2020. It will be available globally in other shops from Saturday, April 4, 2020 for 160€ (140£).
