Victorinox x adidas EQT Support 93

A few months ago, the German giant ADIDAS launched the “Life Needs Equipment” line to celebrate the 30th anniversary of EQT, its technical range. Several reissues and collabs have already been proposed to us, notably with Sean Wotherspoon, Extra Butter or Footpatrol (various articles available on this site). The latest one: a Support 93 silhouette redesigned by the legendary brand that invented the Swiss Army knife : VICTORINOX.

Founded in 1884 by Karl Elsener, VICTORINOX first made the very first Swiss Army knives before moving on to manufacture watches, multi-tool pliers and developing its luggage and travel goods category.

The reinvented sneaker is dressed in a palette that matches the iconic VICTORINOX colors : red, black and grey. With an outdoor-inspired look, it features a ballistic mesh base in shades of red, complemented by a sturdy black mid-cage with reflective 3-Stripes, a grey topographic heel clip and a snow front reinforcement. To support the design, the lacing system has been modified to be faster and more efficient, and the two-tone laces are trail-style. The shoe is also adorned with multiple subtle details referring to the company’s specialties. These include a removable black leather knife sheath hanging under the ankle and the Swiss Army knife logo engraved on the heel tab. The whole is based on an off-white midsole and a semi-translucent milky outsole that hints at the location of VICTORINOX underfoot.
The pair comes in a stylish special co-branded box with additional hangtags from both brands.

The Victorinox x adidas EQT Support 93 is expected to be released during Spring 2022 at select retailers and on adidas.com. For the latest details, stay tuned !
