The Japanese label UNDERCOVER continues its successful partnership with the American giant Nike. After having recently unveiled a reworked Dunk High (article available HERE), the brand of the creator Jun Takahashi announces the release of the Overbreak SP revealed during summer 2020.
This shoe is part of the collection Spring/Summer 2021 and will be offered in 4 colorways : « Beige/White », « White/Black-Gold-Red », « Black/White » and « Grey/Black-Red ».
Nike’s young and experimental silhouette is composed of an upper combining mesh and suede, completed by a laceguard dressed with a raised scale pattern. The side swoosh is slightly concealed under the suede overlay and is embellished with an embroidered red rose, a nod to the Nike Gyakusou runners’ line. To continue the reference to this silhouette, the usual Gyakusou inscriptions on the toe box are replaced by « CHAOS » and « BALANCE » from UNDERCOVER. The collaboration is affirmed by heel tabs embellished with the names UNDERCOVER/Jun Takahashi and co-branding on the tongue label and insole. The whole is based on the innovative and voluminous sole from the ISPA OverReact, with a speckled finish and rubber toe caps on the toe and back of the heel.
The UNVERCOVER x Nike Overbreak SP, available in 4 colorways, will be released on February 19, 2021 in Europe on nike.com and some time later in the rest of the world. Get ready !
