UNION x Nike Dunk Low « Green/Grey »

The Los Angeles shop UNION and the Beaverton giant unveil a second variation of their Nike Dunk Low collaborative. Following the first light blue/lilac colorway that appeared last week (article available HERE), a green/grey version has been unveiled.

The official images confirm that Chris Gibbs and his team have chosen to dress this iconic silhouette in a non-traditional way. Exit the leather or suede, the two-tone upper is made of a synthetic material with a grid pattern. On this new iteration, the upper is presented in a light green color and the overlays, including the side Swoosh, eyelets and heel tab, appear in grey. The only slight difference that proves the attention to detail is that the grid pattern is not in the same direction and color on the Swoosh-heel tab group compared to the other overlays. Respectively, it stands out subtly in navy blue, and in white. A nice harmony is provided by other navy blue elements, such as the inner lining, UNION’s « Frontman » badge on the heel counter and the outsole. The iconic yellow UN/LA branding tag sewn above the Swoosh and a white midsole finish off the look.

It could be that the inspiration was drawn from air travel, given the hangtag reminiscent of boarding passes and the special box. To be confirmed…

Like the Blue/Lilac version, the UNION x Nike Dunk Low « Green/Grey » will be released sometime in 2022, in stores and online at store.unionlosangeles.com and nike.com, as well as at select retailers. As soon as official details are released, we’ll keep you posted, stay tuned !
