The Los Angeles’ brand UNDEFEATED continues to work closely with Nike to honor the memory and legacy of the late Kobe Bryant. After announcing the release of the pack « What If ? » during the Lakers’ legendary number 24 week, named the Mamba Week (article available HERE), the two partners are presenting us the next Nike Kobe 5 Protro « Hall of Fame ».
The shoe features a luxurious Laker-themed design. It consists of a metallic gold upper with a play of overlays and different patterned materials. The emblematic Field Purple colour is found in a gradient on the side Swoosh which is essentially raspberry, and defines the inner lining as well as the Undefeated branding sewn on the black tongue. A subtle touch of black also appears on the top of the heel. To harmonize the look, the laces are gold as the upper, and on the back of the heels metallic gold, the Undefeated and Kobe signature logos are applied in purple. As a tribute to Kobe Bryant’s career, the numbers he wore for the Lakers and the US National Team « 24 10 8 » are stamped in gold on the purple part of the side Swoosh. The whole is based on a Zoom technology sole in a colour gradation ranging from metallic gold on the midsole to Field Purple on the outsole.
The Undefeated x Nike Kobe 5 Protro « Hall of Fame » is expected to be released in fall 2020, at Undefeated shops and on Nike.com, for around 180€. More info coming soon, stay tuned…
