The Florida-based shop founded by Marcus Jordan, son of legend Michael « Air » Jordan, TROPHY ROOM, is once again partnering with Jordan brand. After revisiting several silhouettes, such as the AJ 5, AJ 17 or AJ 23, the two logically linked partners became interested in the iconic Air Jordan 1 High.
The serious account @zsneakerheadz posted a photo featuring this vintage shoe inspired by the original « Chicago » colorway and embellished with a special touch of luxury.
This AJ 1 features a white leather upper with glittery red overlays. The side swoosh and ankle collar are dressed in black leather, and the Wings logo also appears in black on the red ankle reinforcement. A white tongue with a red Nike Air branding label and black laces complete the look. Unlike the original pair, the traditional red stitching on the upper is replaced by white stitching. Another special feature is the signature of legend Michael Jordan on the side heel. To affirm the collaboration, a graphic badge coupling the two brands is sewn on the red insole. The whole is based on a yellowed vintage midsole, a possible nod to the 1985 AJ1, and a translucent outsole revealing four red and blue stars under the foot.
The Trophy Room x Air Jordan 1 High OG is scheduled for release on November 11, 2020 online and at Trophy Room, for a price of 170€. More details to come, stay tuned.
