At the very beginning of this year 2021, the first images of a Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low « UNC » had leaked (article available HERE). A week ago, it’s the founder of Fragment Design, Hiroshi Fujiwara, who was seen with this pair on his feet, suggesting that this collaboration would be made at 3. Today, the American artist Travis Scott has appeared with a high version. This triple collaboration could therefore also be based on the iconic and hyper-popular Air Jordan 1 High silhouette.
This shoe is reminiscent of the Fragment Design x Air Jordan 1 released in 2014. It features the same « Sport Blue » color palette, complemented by Travis Scott’s personal touch.
The shoe consists of a premium white leather upper with black leather overlays on the front and midfoot, and blue leather overlays on the ankle and heel. The side Swoosh appears inverted, the signature of the American rapper and symbol of his « Cactus Jack » line, and is black, unlike the Low version, which features a white Swoosh. The medial Swoosh, also black, retains its classic and original orientation, as on the 2019 « Mocha » iteration. A black collar and laces, as well as a white tongue with a touch of black, complete the design. The whole is based on an off-white midsole, combined with a matching outsole, which adds a vintage feel to the design.
