For the past few months, the trend has been for comfortable, easy-to-slip-on shoes, such as slides or clogs. The most influential sportswear brands have turned to renowned designers to create attractive and original models. While adidas is working with Ye and Nike called on Matthew M. Williams to design its special offer (article available HERE), the label SAUCONY presents a “Butterfly” clog imagined in partnership with TOMBOGO.

TOMBOGO is the streetwear brand of the young Californian designer Tommy Bogo. The creative offers products that are like him, with the intention of stimulating dialogue about function, form and impact in the current fashion climate. TOMBOGO is constantly evolving : it reflects the life of its founder who is constantly learning and growing through experiences of design, innovation and discovery.

The “Butterfly” clog developed with SAUCONY was first seen at New York Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2022 held last February.

This collaborative model offers more versatility than the classic standard clogs thanks to its 2-piece design. It aims to combine functionality and performance.

The “Butterfly” consists of an enhanced sock-like inner shoe that can be worn alone or inserted into the outer shell. The latter is based on the Saucony PWRRUN performance cushioning and can also be worn alone for a very casual look. The 2 parts work together like slip-ons : simply slip your foot into the liner with tongue and heel pulls, then into the outer shell.

The 1st version we are offered has a simple and effective color palette in shades of grey and enhanced by red accents, including the coupled brandings, the 2 pulls and the stitching.

To affirm the futuristic inspiration, the shoe will come in a special co-branded box with a transparent holographic cover.

The TOMBOGO x Saucony Butterfly will be released on August 19, 2022 at a price of 130€ via a raffle set up on tombogo.com. Don’t sleep !
