After the June release of the NikeCraft General Purpose Shoe « Light Cream », Tom Sachs and the Beaverton giant are expanding their ongoing collection with a bold « Dark Sulfur » iteration.
The visual artist has moved away from the innovative, spacey looks seen at the beginning of his association with Nike. As the name suggests, this new model instead sports a simple design dedicated to everyday use.
The Tom Sachs x NikeCraft General Purpose Shoe « Dark Sulfur » has the same construction as the inaugural version.
It consists of a dark yellow mesh upper, complemented by matching suede overlays. The look is enhanced by a white colored side Swoosh and bright orange long tongue and heel pulls. The pair benefits from off-white elements such as the inner lining, tongue and midsole, as well as a co-branded yellow insole. A hand-applied « NIKE » logo appears on the heel and a black notched outsole add the final touch to the design.
The Tom Sachs x NikeCraft General Purpose Shoe « Dark Sulfur » will be released on September 2, 2022 at select retailers and nike.com for $110. A raffle is now open at SVD. Good luck !
