The “Culture & Diversité 97.1” sneakers exhibition by Herbby

A few days before the summer of 2020, the French designer and content creator HERBBY regaled us with a Madras-inspired Air Max 1, co-created with the American sportswear giant through the Nike By You program (article available HERE). In continuation of this project, the talented Parisian presents today an event called « Culture & Diversity 97.1 » (just like his pair) which will take place in Guadeloupe, at the Librairie Générale in Jarry.

The exhibition of sneakers « Culture & Diversity 97.1 » is an event that promotes the richness and diversity of Black Culture, including Guadeloupe, the roots of Herbby.

The famous designer will present a selection of mythical shoes from his personal collection.

The week of exhibition will be punctuated by various cultural and artistic activities led by local artists, the Librairie Générale by Caribbean Culture House (CCH) and Herbby.

On the program : a live podcast on the transformation of a passion into a business hosted by the entrepreneurs’ media TuFeKwa, a live talk on the transmission of Afro-Caribbean Culture in all its forms, a « Maré Tèt » workshop or the art of tying a turban, a Gwoka performance (the Creole name given to the big drum that gives rhythm to a typical musical genre of Guadeloupe) and much more !

Herbby’s « Culture & Diversity 97.1 » sneaker exhibition will be held for one week, from Saturday, November 6 to November 13, 2021, at the Librairie Générale in Jarry. Free access, in compliance with local health restrictions. If you’re in the area, go for it !
