After presenting us its collaboration with MM6 Maison Margiela (article available HERE), the brand Eastpak unveils its work with the New York label TELFAR, known for its vegan leather it-bags.
This collaboration had been teased on the Instagram account of Telfar in March while remaining unknown. Indeed, the bags of this collection had been presented blurred and customers had bought them within minutes without even seeing them.
The brand TELFAR was created in 2002 by a visionary duo, Telfar Clemens and Babak Radboy. Run solely by Telfar from 2005, it offers unisex pieces and made with non-animal materials. Since 2017, the brand has enjoyed unprecedented success with its vegan leather shopper bag. Initially underground and then later popularized by public figures like Solange Knowles or Selena Gomez, the famous bag now appears in an unprecedented design.
TELFAR and Eastpak have combined their worlds by dressing this iconic bag in EASTPAK’s signature rugged fabric.
Today, the complete collaborative collection of 4 bags has been unveiled. It’s articulated around 3 shopper bags and a circle bag. All of them feature the oversized embossed TELFAR logo and the legendary EASTPAK tag.
The shopper bag appears in 3 different sizes. Elegant and practical, the large and medium size are equipped with backpack straps so that they can be carried as anything other than a handbag. They also feature a padded laptop sleeve, a bottle holder and exterior mesh pockets. The smaller one has a removable and adjustable padded shoulder strap. This allows it to be carried differently as well.
The collaborative offering includes a revamped Circle bag that features a removable strap and a woven handle. This small bag is ideal for comfortably and safely carrying essentials such as a wallet, keys and phone.
The TELFAR x Eastpak capsule will be released on April 15, 2022, at partner sites shop.telfar.net and eastpak.com, as well as at select retailers. Prices range from $90 to $260. Don’t sleep !
