Takashi Murakami “Ohana Full-Bloom” Slides

This weekend, at Hong Kong Comic Con, talented artist Takashi Murakami exhibited his latest creation, an “Ohana Full-Bloom” slide. 

Recognized as one of the most important contemporary artists of his time, Takashi Murakami combines the most modern techniques with the heritage of traditional Japanese art. His ‘Japanese neo-pop style known as Superflat’ is inspired by manga and kawaii cultures, as well as American pop art.

This spring, Takashi Murakami unveils an exclusive new solo project : colorful “Ohana Full-Bloom” slides inspired by his iconic ‘smiling flowers’. “Ohana Full-Bloom” refers to the Japanese name for flowers and marks the arrival of a new brand, details of which have yet to be released.

The slide features Takashi Murakami’s iconic floral motif and appears as a ‘wearable work of art’. Unveiled entirely in green and made from high-end materials, this model is designed to be stylish yet comfortable. It features an ergonomic footbed and support strap. An outsole offering durability and traction harmoniously completes the design.

In addition to the green version, this Ohana Full-Bloom slides could be offered in other bright, bold colors, such as purple, orange or blue, as well as in timeless white and black.
