For several years now, Nike and the famous New York streetwear brand SUPREME have enjoyed a fruitful partnership. Some of their collaborative pairs are even among the most sought-after, and with each new release, the sneaker world is in full swing. After having revisited iconic silhouettes of the Swoosh brand, James Jebbia’s label is now focusing on another classic that has recently made its comeback : the Nike Air Max 96.
According to the only pic published to date on the @spicychickenwings account, the shoe consists of a black leather upper with five translucent shark-tooth-shaped, red-coloured, translucent inserts on each side. To highlight these original panels and unify the look, the tongue, laces and inner lining appear in black. In terms of branding details, a small Swoosh is embroidered with white thread under the ankle and the SUPREME brand is embossed on a silver heel badge. The whole is based on a white midsole with the red-orange tinted Air units and a black rubber outsole.
The release date for the Supreme x Nike Air Max 96 has not yet been announced, but the pair is expected to hit the market before the end of 2020. We will keep you updated with the latest news, stay tuned !
