Legendary streetwear label STÜSSY continues to put its spin on iconic footwear. After recently redesigning emblematics Dr. Martens boots (article available HERE), Shawn Stussy and his team are working with Nike to celebrate 40 years of the Air Force 1 silhouette.
The year 2022 will mark 40 years of the timeless AF1. To celebrate its 4 decades of uninterrupted success, the Bruce Kilgore designed bball will be re-released in cult colorways and will be revisited by big names in sneaker design.
The collaborative version designed with Stüssy is the first to surface.
This special Air Force 1 Mid features a simple but effective color palette, combining white and black. Made of leather, the sneaker specifically consists of a white upper with black inserts, such as the overlays, side Swoosh and ankle strap. To affirm the collab, STÜSSY branding details abound : the heel tab is adorned with a signature heel jewel, the toe box is adorned with double « S » perforations, and STÜSSY branding is embroidered in white on the strap, as well as emblazoned on the tongue tag and insole. The whole is based on a white midsole paired with a black outsole that completes the look seamlessly.
The Stüssy x Nike Air Force 1 Mid is expected to be released during Spring 2022 at select retailers and partner sites stussy.com and nike.com. More details to come… So don’t miss out, stay tuned !
