The legendary American brand LEVI’S is celebrating the 150th anniversary of its 501 jeans this year. To mark this event, it has worked with iconic streetwear brands to revisit this cult model. After CLOT, the famous Californian label STÜSSY unveils its collaborative version, accompanied by another key piece, the Trucker Type II jacket.
This new capsule is the 2nd collaboration between the 2 brands. They had teamed up 16 years ago, in 2007. After this long period of absence, LEVI’S and STÜSSY should delight the steetwear lovers by presenting very attractive pieces, which elegantly marry their universes and are inspired by the fashion of the 2000s.
The teaser of this collab was directed by photographer and filmmaker Frank Lebon, as well as by Antosh Comoszko and Evan Clark for a second short film.
The iconic 501 jeans and the Trucker Type II jacket appear as a set. They feature a raw washed indigo color, reinvented with STÜSSY’s signature aesthetic.
The denim jacket features a reimagined corduroy collar and an inner lining with the 8-ball print. It also features silver metal buttons and red Levi’s fabric labels. The highlight detail is at the middle back : a large circular pattern is embossed by merging the image of a jeans button with the STÜSSY double S logo. This same co-logo stands out on the lower left leg and the right back leg of the collaborative 501. To affirm the 150th anniversary celebration, this special jean features an exclusive label statement, and includes copper rivets that ensure the vintage 2000’s look.
The Stüssy x Levi’s capsule will be available in select stores and Dover Street Markets worldwide, as well as online at both stussy.com and levi.com . Be ready !
