After having reworked the NB 827 silhouette in an outdoor style in May 2020, the streetwear label Stray Rats is once again partnering with the equipment manufacturer New Balance to add its touch to the Runner NB 574. This collaborative pair is available in two colorways, one in shades of green/blue and the other in a red/green combination.
Teased at the end of October 2020 on the Instagram account of Stray Rats founder Julian Consuegra, the release of these two NB 574s to the general public has just been confirmed.
These shoes consist of a fuchsia pink or turquoise green nylon upper, depending on the iteration, with suede overlays in brick red and moss green respectively. On both colorways, we find yellowish green accents, such as the emblematic N Lateral in leather and the heel tab with embroidered Stray Rats logo. The brandings appear coupled on the tongue labels and insoles. To complete the look, the inner linings and heel clips are dressed in white, while the laces are presented in contrasting color with the suede lacegaurd and nylon tongue. The whole is based on a white midsole with a red insert under the heel for the pair in shades of red, and white and blue for the iteration in shades of green. A black rubber outsole finalizes the design.
The Stray Rats x New Balance 574, available in 2 colorways, will be released on January 8, 2021 on the strayrats.com website, for a fixed price of 100€ per iteration.
