In March, the brands Stone Island and New Balance announced a long-term partnership (article available HERE). Teased for a few days, the first product resulting from this union has just been presented in details, a reworked RC ELITE.
Both labels share the same values of research, functionality and innovation in their respective fields. Stone Island’s innovative construction and dyeing methods come together with the performance design of New Balance shoes from Tokyo Design Studio. With their collaborative sneakers, the two partners aim to transcend current trends and bring their shared values to life in new and creative ways.
The first release is the RC ELITE silhouette known for its FuelCell cushioning system and performance materials. Reworked and dressed in white and red, it features a breathable 3D knit upper with rips. The latter allow to reveal red brandings of both brands on the white toe boxes. The famous Stone Island compass logo adorns the left foot and NB graphics decorate the right foot. To affirm the partnership, the tongues are adorned with the brandings « Stone Island Product Research » on one shoe and « Tokyo Design Studio » of NB on the other. The famous midsole with FuelCell technology and a carbon fiber plate for premium energy return, is presented in white to match the look.
The Stone Island x New Balance RC ELITE will be released exclusively at select Stone Island flagship stores on October 7, 2021, before arriving on stoneisland.com a few days later on October 12, 2021. Don’t sleep !
