In the last few months, the famous Beijing shop SOULGOODS and the American giant NIKE have presented us with 2 revisited Dunks High from a very first collaborative pack honoring the key decades of street culture. After the versions « 80s » and « 90s », the partners unveil the 3rd and last Dunk High « 00s » of this collection.
As a reminder, the « 80s » colorway is inspired by street ball and classic basketball movies, and the « 90s » version refers to the impact of grunge rock and the hip hop movement on fashion and culture. This Dunk « 90s » was released in first, on November 26, 2022.
The new « 00s » version commemorates the 2000s, as its name suggests. More specifically, it pays tribute to sneakerheads and street artists who, thanks to their passions, have enriched and popularized the sneaker culture and street in general.
This latest collaborative Dunk High features a look that also echoes the childhood memories of Wu Yue, the co-founder of SOULGOODS, with the symbols and talismans reminiscent of Beijing.
The shoe consists of a dusty grey base complemented by navy blue overlays and featuring rather abstract light pink graphics, which leaves the imagination running wild. At the side heel, we discover the messages « Never Change » on the left shoe and « Always Change » on the right foot. To affirm the collab, the SOULGOODS Tiger logo appears on the tongue and the phrase « From Beijing to the World » is embroidered in navy blue on the pastel pink inner lining. An all light grey side Swoosh and navy blue laces complete the design. A white midsole and a light grey outsole provide the final harmonious touch.
The SOULGOODS x Nike Dunk High « 00s » is expected to be released before the end of this December 2022, alongside the « 80s » version, at select retailers and online at soulgoods.cn and nike.com. For the latest official details, stay tuned !
