A few days ago, my friend Hikmet Sugoer offered us a new blue and off-white tinted color on one of his latest silhouettes : the Proto 3. Numbered and limited to 150 pieces worldwide, this one called “Budgie” was sold out in a few minutes.
Having had the chance to receive it, I suggest you to discover it in pictures at my feet.
To create the “Budgie”, Hikmet was inspired by a granivorous bird with a long tail called “Budgerigar” (Parakeet). The pair features an upper that mixes premium suede with grained leather and perforated suede. The whole is based on a white midsole and a brown gum outsole.
I think the pair is beautiful. As usual with Sonra, we are on Made in Germany of superior quality. The materials as well as the finishing touches are perfect. The shape is always so tapered giving this shoe an aggressive look. For me, this is a must-have pair in a collection.
