The French brand Le Coq Sportif unveils its first ever collaboration with SOLARY, a group of streamers who have launched their own WebTV and Esport structure. This new project is part of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the famous R800 sneaker. A new edition with the colors of Solary is presented to us today.
SOLARY is an independent French company based in Tours and founded in 2017 by 8 young people passionate about Esport and Gaming who had a great ambition : to become the first French WebTV. SOLARY imposes itself by its creativity and its energy, success is at the rendezvous.
To revisit its favorite silhouette, the R800, SOLARY worked in close collaboration with Le Coq Sportif for a year and explored several avenues before making its final choice. This first collab aims to democratize sport, by growing the link between equipment manufacturer and gaming.
The shoe appears in a combination of black, white and turquoise blue with a touch of yellow. It consists of a mesh upper with nubuck overlays and leather inserts. The design is completed with the LCS logo embroidered on the side panels and a tongue and heel co-branding. The whole is based on a black midsole with a touch of yellow, coupled with a semi-translucent white outsole.
The Solary x Le Coq Sportif R800 will be released in a limited edition of 1200 pairs on June 25, 2021. It will be available throughout France in many COURIR stores and on courir.com, as well as in the LCS corner of Citadium and online. The price is set at 115€ and sizeruns EU 36 to EU 47.
The SOLARY team will be present the day of the launch at the shop COURIR République in Paris (54 boulevard du Temple, 11th district) from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm to meet people interested in this project.
