Always on point, the famous shop SNEAKERSNSTUFF unveils a new part of its collaboration with NEW BALANCE. After having proposed us a duo of NB 991 a few months ago, Erik Fagerlind and Peter Jansson bring their touch to the controversial 2002R Mule.
You either love it or hate it, this NB 2002R transformed into a mule.
Named « Goods for Home », SNS envisions this collaborative mule as a perfect pair for the home combining comfort and style.
The Swedish store has revisited it with inspiration from Japanese craftsmanship and home accessories. This premium version features a dark grey mesh upper, complemented by olive green suede overlays and a light brown inner lining. Exclusively for this version, the traditional N logo on the side of the 2002R has been replaced by the NB 990v3, a nod to the original New Balance Mule. It’s dressed in dark grey with white outlines. To affirm the collab, the SNS branding adorns the top of the tongue and the insole. The whole is based on a cream N-Ergy midsole with ABZORB cushioning and a black outsole.
The pair will be released with a short-sleeve t-shirt designed by graphic designer Ikki Kobayashi and 2 pairs of wool socks, as well as a selection of handcrafted products, including an incense chamber handmade by Kensaku Harada and modeled to resemble the 2002R Mule and SNS x Apotheke Fragrance incense sticks. SNS also partnered with artisan-artist Kouichi Kobayshi to handcraft exclusive cups and vases.
The SNS x New Balance 2002R Mule « Goods For Home », along with the t-shirt, sock pack and incense, will be released on September 22, 2022 in stores and online at sneakersnstuff.com and newbalance.com. Registration for the raffle is now open on the SNS app. Prices are set at $130 for the 2002R Mule, $50 for the t-shirt, $30 for the socks and $15 for the incense sticks. Let’s go !
