The famous Swedish retailer SNEAKERSNSTUF is completing its « Hometown Love » series developed in collaboration with the German giant adidas. This collection is a tribute to the different cities that host SNS stores around the world. The first pair from this pack was unveiled in June : an adidas « Stockholm » inspired by SNS’s hometown (article available HERE). For this second project, Erik Fagerland and Peter Jansson wanted to highlight London, the first capital city where an SNS store was established outside their home country. An adidas GT « London » is presented to us today.
Like the first pair in the « Hometown Love » series, this new project is based on the handball silhouette of the 1980s : the adidas Stockholm GT.
This shoe is inspired by one of Londoners’ passions, soccer, and more specifically the retro jerseys of a team from North London. The sneaker adopts an audacious colorway, also referring to the festive and warm atmosphere of soccer matches.
It features a premium quality yellow suede upper with navy blue accents, such as the 3 adidas signature stripes, the tongue and the heel. For an extra touch of bright color, the inner lining and insole appear in red. The latter features a printed map of the city of London, affirming the design and homage. The yellow laces, as well as the adidas gold tongue branding and « SNS GT » engraved above the three side stripes complete the sporty yet lifestyle look of this shoe. The whole is based on the typical Spezial rubber outsole.
The adidas SNS x adidas GT « London », part of the « Hometown Love » series, will be released on September 26, 2020 on the SNS application via a draw, which is already open for registration. The price is 119€, sizes ranging from EU 36 to EU 48.
