Two years after their first release, New York-based studio Snarkitecture and international creative marketing and communications agency BLACKRAINBOW have reunited to present a new collaborative BE@RBRICK produced by MEDICOM TOY.
Snarkitecture is a collaborative studio based in New York’s Brooklyn neighborhood and founded in 2008 by architect Alex Mustonen and multi-talented contemporary artist Daniel Arsham. Arsham is known for his spectacular works and for his collabs with big names like DIOR. The studio’s work focuses on the balance between art and architecture. The 2 founders lead projects where « architecture accomplishes the unexpected ».
After a 1000% white BE@RBRICK released in 2019, Snarkitecture and BLACKRAINBOW, the agency with a mission to sell deep cultural reality and knowledge in the most creative way, bring us a blue version.
The partners designed « a hydrographic print that gives the illusion of an excavated surface ». This exclusive BE@RBRICK is entirely light blue and features Daniel Arsham’s signature destruction details, which pierce the front and back of the collectible figure. Also, it appears devoid of any physical markings, to affirm the artistic inspiration of the New York studio. This futuristic piece is paradoxically inspired by historical statues and ancient art.
