The famous British retailer SIZE? teams up one last time in 2020 with the German giant adidas Originals to finalize the celebration of its 20 years of existence. After the Superstar duo « Romeo & Juliet » released at the beginning of December (article availabe HERE), SIZE? wanted to work with Liverpool clubbing pioneers CREAM on the popular and associated Liverpool silhouette, Training PT.
For the conception of this triple collaboration, SIZE? went through the archives of the CREAM nightclub and chose some promotional flyers to find the inspiration for a design based on the electro music of the 90s and its typical colors.
The shoe consists of a finely perforated premium leather upper in cream color (of course) with overlays in matching smooth leather. A nice contrast is brought by the emblematic 3 stripes of bright colors, different on each side : blue and green for the left foot, burgundy and orange for the right foot. The logos are set in gold color to add cachet to the pair. We find a delicate tongue branding, as well as the adidas Trefoil and CREAM emblem on the back of the shoe and the cream insole. The inner lining and cream laces complete the harmonious design. The final special touch is the cream sole with brightly colored circular patterns on the sides that match the shades of the side bands and are applied in an alternative way.
To ensure the best matchings, this triple collaboration is complemented by a collection of garments with the same 90’s design and color palette. It includes a Firebird tracksuit, as well as double-branded items : a soft cotton t-shirt and a bucket hat.
The SIZE? x Cream x adidas Originals Training PT and the textile capsule will be released on December 24, 2020 via a raffle on the Size?Launches app, before a store launch on December 30, 2020.
