British retailer SIZE?, which is very active in exclusive releases and collaborations, is once again partnering with the German brand adidas,. After proposing us a Superstar duo inspired by the film « Romeo + Juliet » (article available HERE), SIZE? is paying tribute to David Fincher’s film « Fight Club » through the Campus 80s silhouette.
This film, released in 1999, features talented actors Edward Norton, Brad Pitt and actress Helena Bonham Carter. The narrator and the anti-conformist character Tyler Durden create an underground fighting club that allows its members to evacuate their discomfort through violence.
The design details of the shoe refer to certain features of the « Fight Club ». It consists of a black suede upper with leather inserts that can be of a different color depending on the foot or side of the shoe. The lateral line of eyelets is adorned with navy blue leather while on the medial part appears in black leather. In the same spirit, the heel tab of the left shoe is in white leather and the heel tab of the right foot is red. There is also an asymmetry in the emblematic adidas 3-stripes. On one side, they are subtly defined by light-colored stitching, while on the other side, they are dressed in beige faux fur. The white insoles striped with blue have the name of the movie « Fight Club » and the tongues are adorned with the name of the complex character : Tyler Durden. To complete the design, the whole is based on a white sole under which an imposing neon-pink inscription, signature of the film, is found : « FIGHT » under the left foot and « CLUB » under the right foot.
