The legendary French brand LE COQ SPORTIF continues to celebrate the 30th anniversary of its DYNACTIF technology with a new « double anniversary » collaboration. Just like Tel Aviv-based shop Sneakerbox recently reinterpreted the R800 silhouette (article available HERE), the year 2021 marks the 10th anniversary of Spanish brand Sivasdescalzo (SVD).
SVD has chosen to reimagine the iconic retro running silhouette R 1000 to celebrate its first decade of existence.
Named « Energy Rooster », this sneaker sports a multicolored look with bright color accents. It consists of an upper combining grained leather, suede, nubuck and mesh. The grey base is complemented by overlays in a lighter shade with black inserts on the side panels and collar, paired with orange inserts at the mudguard and heel. To add a nice touch of extra contrast, green coloring dresses the upper and lower eyelets, as well as the front part of the outsole. The famous LCS Coq logo on the quarter panel and tongue is surrounded by a yellow triangle and is adorned with “lightning” symbols to affirm the collab’s “Energy Rooster” theme. The co-branded insole is also presented in yellow and the midsole appears in vintage cream color. The whole set rests on a multicolored black, green and yellow outsole with a red dot under the heel.
Also drawing inspiration from one of the most famous French comics that features the strength and resilience of the Gauls, the pair comes in a special green and yellow box. It also contains a co-branded green metal water bottle that allows you to carry the most energizing drinks safely !
The Sivasdescalzo x Le Coq Sportif R1000 “Energy Rooster” will be released on December 16, 2021, in stores and on sivasdescalzo.com via an already open raffle. It will then be available from December 20, 2021 at Afew, Hanon, Opium, Sneaker 76 and Highs And Lows. The price is set at 180€. Don’t sleep !
